Lol! Okay, just to make things interesting, I’ll vote for Spirit Folk. Because it looks as though the actors are having a lot of fun with it. Maybe not the most interesting story-wise, but surely having fun has to count for something!

When I was a child, I was a fan of chemistry. I think it was "Emanations" that had Voyager find a new element (#247!), and I loved that little detail. So "Emanations" gets the save.

Hard to pick an episode now. I'm forced to choose between episodes that are either boring or terrible.

I'll vote for "UNFORGETTABLE" this round. It was painfully boring, but I always thought Virginia Madsen was pretty. So on that basis, it gets this round's vote by me.

(Pretty bad state of affairs for a group of episodes when the only thing that can save an episode is 'she's pretty'.)

I can never vote for "Favorite Son", because it was the episode where the writers actively tried to salvage Harry's foundering character... and were stopped by interference from above. At least the date scene in "Spirit Folk" was sort of funny (and if you start it at 11:49:35 on New Year's Eve, Harry kisses the cow at exactly midnight).

Favorite Son. By no means amazing, but I liked that it had a sense of quite genuine menace. I think one of the guys died, so it felt like there was consequences. And poor Harry at least got some form of Story. And it had the actress from T3, which at the time felt quite cool to me.

As an aside I was reviewing Voyager for TrekToday in season seven. I just found my line from the Friendship One review the week before it:

Next week: Seven and Chuckles are stranded on a planet that will no doubt comprise of those same old jungle sets. I’ve read the script, and it ain’t pretty.

I apologise for writing "comprise of", I was young and naive. I was right though.

It gave Harry something to do and the girls were cute in a kill you and suck the life out of you kind of way. I do have to agree with TPTB at the time though that making Harry an alien that just so happened to find his way home accidentally from the AQ to the DQ may have been a stretch. If that was the plan. I mean I'll buy bumping into evolved dinosaurs from Earth in the DQ but Harry being an alien was going one step too far!
