The Most Disliked Episode of TNG, Finals: 2021 Edition...

Gonna give a point to Suddenly Seymour Human, because except for the batshit ending I quite liked the rest of the episode. And Wesley got a face-full of ice cream.

The Icarus Factor. Same reasons.

I also cannot get on the "Birthright, Part II" train. Haaaaaaaaate that one. FUN FACT: only two episodes have made the finals in 2011, 2018, 2019, and now -- "Birthright, Part II" and "Transfigurations"!

I'm nearly persuaded by @Vale's argument that Gul Evek makes "Journey's End" the point for this round, but I'll go with "Suddenly Human", by a hair. I don't mind it. There's a basically interesting premise there.

Fascinating that there's so many horses in this stage of the race. Normally it's fairly easy to tell which way people are going to jump, and here it's still all to play for!

Another vote for Suddenly Human. Out of what’s left it has the most going for it. Calling themselves on their arrogance over cultural superiority.

"Aquiel" is bland, and you're hoping it's her who's the baddie and not the doggie, but there's some thought put into Geordi's handling for once with women and the scene when the mystery ooze duplicates Beverly's hand is suitably chilling.

None of these remaining stories is particularly great, but "Aquiel" is at least the least offensive, least half-baked, and/or least awkward and by a country mile parsec, which might still be too small a distance...

What's left to skewer:

"Aquiel" - 2
"Birthright, Part II" - 2

Not a big fan of any of these, so I'm going to give my vote this round to Birthright, just because I'm learning Klingon now, so...

What's left:
"Code of Honor" - 0
"The Icarus Factor" - 1

"Suddenly Human" - 3
"New Ground" - 0
"Aquiel" - 2
"Birthright, Part II" - 3

I’ll vote for The Icarus Factor solely on the fact that ambo-jitsu is obviously the ultimate evolution of the martial arts.

Well, I'll save "Birthright, Part II" since it's a Worf-centric storyline; even though he was a bit of an ass to Ba'el. So let's start again.

Voting "Suddenly Human" this round. Seeing Picard try to overcome his being around children issues was a good idea.

Having just watched "Transfigurations" it's not as bad as I remembered. It's certainly not in the league of "Code of Honor" bad...so I'll give it a vote.

"Aquiel" - for the same reasons I opined back on page 1. The most boring and least daft is still better than the rest.

I’m sorry, Aquiel and Suddenly Human are bottom-5 material in my mind. Gotta go Icarus Factor again. Ambo-Jitsu.
