The Most Disliked Episode of TNG, Finals: 2021 Edition...

I recently revisited "New Ground" and it was better than I remembered. I like that creature puppet.

+1 to We'll Always Have Paris. I'd never describe it as an all-time classic certainly, but I've always thought it was reasonable by season one's standards. There's plenty of others that should be here in its stead IMHO. And the glimpse of 24th century Paris is fun.

And the glimpse of 24th century Paris is fun.
So is the young lady's 24th century dress. And the jumpsuit she wears as a more mature woman that appears to be made out of a 1980s sofa slip cover.
And it at least gives us a first glimpse into Picard's character.

So let's save the episode.

I'm going to vote for Up The Long Ladder. Yes it's awful, but Barrie Ingham is hilarious (and I'm Irish, I'm allowed to say that).

I'm also going to do "Up The Long Ladder" this time. In the pureness and intensity of it's insanity, it is more rewatchable than any of these others.

Agreed! and it gives us that wonderful behind-the-scenes video of Gene Roddenberry and Barrie Ingham singing "Phil The Fluter's Ball".

All right, "Up" it is. The ones left are so awful that it seems almost watchable in comparison.

Taking out "Up The Long Ladder". It tackled a couple good ideas, had some funny moments, and Brenna Odell was hot.

My vote for the new round is "Birthright, Part II". I don't think Worf did anything wrong there, except maybe his attitude with Ba'el.

Most of what's left is pretty bad. But, "The Price" was at fairly watchable at times.

The Price, same reason as before. It's the Troi Royal flush!
She wears all her work outfits in this one! And the blue evening gown, and several one-off ones!
...uh...also there's something about a wormhole, or some such... I think...

I guess "The Price" has stuff I enjoy laughing at. AND it gave us the Barzan, which eventually gave us Nhan!

Also that other random alien in there is cool, the super tall dude.

Well, I'm surprised. I had no idea that Suddenly Human was so disliked. It's not that bad, specially when comparing with horrendous episodes like Up The Long Ladder or The Price.

The Price is right and so it's gone.

For the next round, I choose "Birthright, Part II", Worf is an ass in that episode but the situation is interesting nevertheless.

Nope, not getting on the Birthright train. I'll go with Aquiel. Not a great episode, but it had an interesting premise, and a surprise ending.

Bloody hell. This is harder than one of Neelix's leola root pies.

I'm going to go for Journey's End, if only for the "fun" of Wesley being pissy, the thematic links that carried over into Star Trek: Voyager, and it featuring Gul Evek (one of the very few characters to cross over between all three 24th century Treks). And yes, that's scraping the barrel, but just look at everything else.
