The MOST Disliked Episode of TNG - Final Part...

Running very short on the 'average' tier in this game. I suppose Galaxy's Child is best remaining. I appreciate it for calling Geordi on the creepiness of his simulation in Booby Trap and I like the threat of the week idea of the child that thinks the ship is its mother.

I enjoyed The Host. This was the first time we saw the Trill. I loved the idea of a macro symbiant. Also, it touched upon gender issues. Also, what characteristics of a person are not acceptable, even if you love them?

The problem with The Host for me is that unlike in DS9, the Trill are more like the gu'ald than a truly symbiotic relationship. The parasite doesn't blend with the host and create a being that is a mix of the two, the parasite completely takes over the host, and the show kind of glosses over that this is slavery.

But it's not even close to the worst episode remaining so I may vote for it soon, if it doesn't get eliminated in this round.

No need, I'll save The Host for introducing the Trill to Trek canon, even though their characteristics would later be changed.

I will give a point to "Journey's End" for the same reason I stated before.

I appreciated that there was Wesley wrap-up, so I can hop on this Journey's End train.

What kills this one is the clueless portrayal of Native Americans, but if you can somehow ignore that, what remains isn't bad. At least TNG only gave us one episode of this nonsense... much better than Voyager making it a constant recurring theme for 7 years!

Journey's End for me. A sendoff for Wesley, and an important episode in Federation-Cardassian relations. Sets up some really good Maquis stuff on DS9, as well as TNG's own "Preemptive Strike" (a season 7 favorite of mine).

Homeward. Although it's not a great episode, it does include some classic TNG moralistic Prime Directive head-scratching and deliberations, and adds some interesting backstory for Worf (and not just the normal Klingon stuff), who by Season 7 was becoming a genuinely depthy character who was about to make the jump to DS9.

A point to "New Ground" for making Worf take responsibility for Alexander. I never liked the way they shipped the kid off to Earth as soon as they introduced him; now that I'm a parent, I like it even less.

I'm giving Transfigurations a point for it's timeless theme of humanitys intolerence and fear of change.

Not sure what order I would vote for remaining episodes. I guess Journey's End would come next, then Homeward, then Transfigurations. If it comes down to Outrageous Okona and Up The Long Ladder can we have a third category to vote that they both share the title?

I couldn't help but notice a recurring theme among a lot of these 'worst episodes' are really cringeworthy romance-of-the-week plots.

I just rewatched “Manhunt” a week ago and that has to have the most cringe worthy speech in all of TNG when Lwaxana says she’s going to marry Riker.

I really liked Transfiguations. It seemed to capture the pure, basic, underlying theme of Start Trek TNG which is optimism for the future. The story was a metaphor for the possibilities of mankind: We can transcend our petty human foibles and evolve into something better.

An end to Journey's End, for the Maquis continuity.

I'll give a point to "Angel One." An episode that features this much Riker chest hair doesn't need to offer anything else worthwhile to get a pass from me.

I will give a point to "Homeward". It gave something new for Worf with his background besides Klingon stuff. Sort of the same reason why I give DS9's "LET HE WHO IS WITHOUT SIN..." it's one good thing.
