McCoy: (sigh) Well, confine him!

Security: Yes Sir.

 

[Leandar]

(Security escorts Spock off the bridge as the stunned bridge crew watches in disbelief. Meanwhile in the transporter room, Scotty is preparing to beam Kirk and Mendez aboard)

Kirk: Store our shuttlecraft on the hangar deck, Mr. Scott. Beam us directly aboard.

 

[LeadHead]

Scotty: All right Captain, locked on to you.

 

[Leandar]

(Kirk and Mendez are beamed aboard as Hansen approaches)

Hansen: Transferring command to you, sir.

 

[LeadHead]

Kirk: Accepting Command. Where's Mister Spock?

 

[Leandar]

Hansen: In his quarters, sir. Under arrest.

 

[LeadHead]

Mendez: His quarters, after what he's done Lieutenant?

 

[Leandar]

Uhura (intercom): Captain, from bridge. The engines are coming on.

 

[LeadHead]

Kirk: Reverse power, hold this position. Tell whoever gave those orders to report-

 

[JanewayRulz!]

HANSEN: Sir, there's nobody up there giving orders. Mister Spock has the computers running the ship.

 

[Leandar]

Kirk: Disengage computer control, Uhura.

 

[JanewayRulz!]

UHURA [OC]: We can't disengage, Captain. The helm does not respond.

(Scott leaves, muttering in Gaelic)

 

[Leandar]

Kirk: Computer control, come in.

 

[CoveTom]

COMPUTER: Computer.

 

[Leandar]

Kirk: Disengage from helm.

 

[CoveTom]

COMPUTER: Unable to comply.

 

[Leandar]

Kirk: This is the captain. On voice command, you will override all contrary instructions. Voice command, disengage from helm.

 

[scotpens]

COMPUTER: Unable to comply. Any such attempt will cross-circuit vessel's life-supporting system. Computer control cannot be disengaged until vessel reaches planet Talos IV.
