Btw, as an aside, and speaking of food reviews, I came across a food review channel on Youtube that compare the menus of fast food chains from different countries, by trying everything on the menu. One video was about Tim Hortons, although somewhat perplexing, they chose to compare US Tim Hortons and UK Tim Hortons, barely acknowledging Canada in the process. Like, way to insult a potential audience.
Well, that's certainly a choice!
"On the next Food Wars, we compare Burger Kings in Sweden vs Japan!"
But in seriousness, in looking over their channel, the Food Wars videos almost always seem to be "someplace (or multiple someplaces) vs US". They probably have to include the US because most of their viewers are American or something. I think I only saw a couple that didn't include the US, and they were both "India vs UK".
Plus they are probably limited to countries where they have presenters. UK was obviously a big one on the channel, and I believe I also saw India, Italy, China and Japan show up more than once.
That being said, they should probably consider hiring a Canadian presenter. While there are probably a lot of menu similarities between Canada and the US, there are probably enough differences to be interesting. Especially considering the videos where they look at snack foods and candies.
I think my biggest takeaway was how great those UK doughnuts looked! And now I want that red velvet one to show up here sooner rather than later. You hear me, Timmies??
wonder if they simply thought thing were the same between the U.S and Canada.
And in fairness, the selections from the US in the video did seem a lot closer to ours than the UK ones. I think the doughnuts were pretty much identical. There did seem to be more differences in the drinks, though.
One thing that did get me on the US menu was the two flavours of "TimsBoost with Red Bull"! Yeah, that checks out as an American creation!
