Spoilers The Mandalorian season 2 discussion

We're only talking about this because of one person's opinion that altering a few pixels on Luke's face/improving that existing CG work is the same as adding Jedi Rocks, changing Sebastian Shaw for Hayden or introducing new scenes and songs, and should be reacted to identically.
No. Just that the principle is the same as Lucas desire to make changes.

Proposal, redo Anakin's last scene in the suit with Hayden when he gets a little older and a reboot Luke. But because most shots of Anakin are close ups with maybe the back of Luke's head, swap it into the special edition to keep Hayden as Anakin in all appearance.

Well since everyone else jumping in, I might as well too. Peer pressure for the win!
I'm pretty indifferent to the changes in Jabba's Palace, but I actually prefer Hayden as Anakin at the end. It just made a lot more sense to me to show the person we had seen as Anakin for three movies rather than some random guy we had never seen before. And from an in universe perspective, it makes sense he would appear the way he looked when was Anakin rather than how he looked as Vader.

It would've died a very painful death without rehashing grievances during the Dark Ages of No Trek!

(Trek grievances or not!)
I've been around long enough to remember the endless, prattling Trek vs Wars debates. *shudders*
Honestly what I find most tedious about this kind of thing is that the talking points don't change. It's just the same complaints and counter-arguments bounced back and forth over and over and over. No new insights, no new perspectives, just stock, canned opinions yelled back at each other as if repeating them often enough will somewhen count as a "win".
It's why I ducked out of the B5 thread for long stretches. I swear you can set your clock by the time it takes for someone to whinge about Byron's hair as if they're the first ones ever to bring up this point...
Also why I tend to stay out of the Trek forums these days. I peeked back in for Discovery and Picard, only to find people having the same arguments they did 15 years ago. No thank you very much!

Personally I'd rather ENJOY the things I enjoy and engage with them in a positive light. It's why you'll rarely find me in a thread about something I'm not a fan of. If I don't like it, I don't watch it and generally I don't inflict that disposition on everyone else. Life's too short.

I don't think I've ever seen Trek vs Wars threads around here. The closest thing I remember was someone starting a thread wanting to know how an X-Wing would fare against the Enterprise, but all the replies that thread got were basically variations of "do even realize how badly you just embarrassed yourself?"

I vaguely remember there being a spate of them across a bunch of forums back in the early 2000's. Here, Flare, and I think another one who's name I've forgotten (subspace comms net?) I think it was mostly spill-over from a site dedicated to discussing that and only that. Haven't seen a serious attempt at rekindling the topic in forever, thankfully.

Still, we all know that sooner or later an official crossover will happen, igniting such discussions to unheard highs. It’s only a matter of time and money.

I'd be more interested in finally seeing Patrick Stewart facing off against himself. Picard meets Xavier!
I don't recall if Picard ever met Xavier in any of the X-Men crossovers in the novels or comics, but I do recall that when the X-Men met Picard in Michael Jan Friedman's novel, The X-Men definitely noticed the resemblance. And this was before Patrick Stewart was even cast.

I definitely remember Picard and Xavier meeting in the one crossover comic I read. Don't really remember what happened, though.
