Spoilers The Mandalorian | Disney+ | Streaming Nov. 12

Random thought: Ming-Na's character is mention as heading "out beyond the Dune Sea". Now that's a very familiar phrase in Star Wars, because we all know a certain strange old hermit who once lived "out beyond the Dune Sea".
It could easily be innocuous enough, but what if it's not? What if she wasn't just running out into the desert? What if she had a destination in mind?

What if someone a certain someone else has taken up residence in Ben's old hovel and she was going to meet them? Maybe to hide? Maybe to call in a marker to get the guild off her arse? Someone say, last seen out in the Dune Sea and who we know for a fact is aware of the hut's location? Someone who she might know very well from her years working in the underworld?

If so and that really is Boba, then him showing up to find her at the end of this episode may seem a lot less of a random cameo or coincidence.

Ben's house has absolutely nothing to do with Boba Fett. There's no connection, why are you making that leap?

This episode also had the least impressive special effects so far. Some of the CGI was super dodgy and it was the first time the Baby Yoda puppet looked extremely phony in at least a handful of shots.

Another random thought: assuming Fennec Shand is the same approximate age as Ming-Na Wen, she would have been in her late 20's during the Clone Wars and likely already active in the underworld. Certainly of an age where she might have crossed paths with Jango.
Maybe she was yet another surrogate parent for Boba after Aurra Sing, and Cad Bane were out of the picture?

And if this is the case and he's finding her dead, this gives him a reason to go out looking for the bugger what done murdered her. So potential Mando vs. Fett grudge match? A little 'Twin Engines of Destruction' nod?

Well 1) it answers the question of where he's been the last 5 years. 2) how many isolated and abandoned homes is Boba likely to know about that he could conceivably get to on foot after dragging himself out of the Sarlacc? 3) it fits the admittedly circumstantial evidence of where Fennec Shand was and how quickly "he" showed up seemingly on foot. 4) It's a neat idea.

Nevermind.

Crapping on someone's pet theory, (no matter how bad) is mean and pointless.

Boba Fett has no reason to know anything about Ben Kenobi or where his house is. Some comic no one read is hardly ample justification.
It's canon. Deal with it.
Even assuming sarlaac injury, why is he sitting there for five years? If he was, he'd certainly have no pull with the guild or anyone else.
Maybe he's gone all Will Munny and is done with the life? Maybe the life isn't done with him? The Fett reputation casts a long shadow and I doubt he's been forgotten so soon.
If Boba Fett was alive, why bother dragging himself to an abandoned house? How about his own ship?
Because it's closer? Because he was damn near death at the time? Because it took him years to fully heal and by then he either found some inner peace, decided "fuck it!" and stayed?
Nevermind.

Aww. Adorable passive aggressive shade throwing to compensate for inability to deal with basic plot logic is adorable.

Your "theory" has exactly zero logic to it. It's just an utterly insane overreach with no basis in anything. But, good luck with that.

Boba Fett is one of the few things they could do that would instantly and completely derail this show. Just no. He's slowly being digested by a Sarlacc. He's a chump, who got chumped, and should be left to rot in chumptown.

We finally got Mandalorians who are interesting and worth paying attention to. Please don't drag the Fetts back into this and tear the whole thing down.

YOU are the one that called it a spoiler.......Fragile much? Spoiler implied you KNOW something. They kept The Child a secret, so I doubt they would telegraph such a big reveal.......I may be wrong. COULD be him but if I posted a SPOILER that it was Lando or Han I would not be shocked if someone ASKED me about it. FWIW I am not in 20 Facebook groups dedicated to the show, just here.

EDIT: nobody jumped down your throat, I ASKED you to clarify.

Apparently.. from the other thread.. if I didn't call it a spoiler, people would complain even more.

@KennyClaus and @Flying Spaghetti Monster need to go back to your corners and rethink your lives instead of selling deathsticks. No more of this

@Crewman6 and @Reverend , same advice to you both, as well

I enjoyed that episode and the mechanic kind of reminded me of Furlow from Farscape. I loved the shots of the desert and going across on the bikes.

Horatio Sanz, Brian Posehn, Amy Sedaris, someone at casting must have a bit of a funny bone. I wonder if that wig was a bit of a nod to Ripley in the original Alien. Of course, knowing Amy, she probably just showed up with it.

A little bit of Silent Running card playing with the pit droids there but they seemed a little out of their element working on full-size craft. They should've had a lone Bith playing piano man style or something in the cantina's downturn. :)

The bounty hunter is probably supposed to be annoying but Filloni's dialogue could use a little work. I thought it seemed noticeably clunkier than Favreau's scripts have been. It felt a bit slight, I know this isn't the deepest show but I thought it needed a little more meat.

I enjoyed it, nice little man do adventure.. Shows hes been around for a bit and knows what he's doing
I trust Jon and Dave on where this is going and a slow burn build up is just fine.. There leading up to something..
Now.. Bandai.. WHERES MY RAZORS CREST MODEL KIT!!!!

There are so few episodes though, these random 1 offs are getting to be a bit much.

I'm wondering how similar this show will be to Rebels and Resistance, both of which had kind of meandering, one off episode first seasons but built to a season finale that took those pieces and set up something grander for the road ahead. Make the first season more about building the world and setting up pieces, and shift the status quo in some major way at the end to establish where you go from there.

Then again, this show has been very pulp Western in it's tone and vibe. And a lot of western stories feature surprisingly small stakes. Might just be leaning into the influence in a way. Guess we'll all find out in the next few weeks.

Were that the case, then it probably wouldn't have taken several weeks for someone to catch up to him, and it wouldn't have been one lone hunter, but a whole team.
I don't know, bounty hunters seem to be mostly loners. Don't want to share the bounty if they don't have to.
