The Least Disliked Episode 2023: VOY Final Rounds

Tuvok as the highest ranking real officer should have taken command telling Chakotay and his provisional rank to go suck a lemon.
I think Tuvok secretly doesn't like command, though. Whether he's captain ("Resolutions") or first officer ("Before and After"), he doesn't even put on a red uniform.

"The Void" It is too rushed. This is two (maybe even three) episodes of story crammed into a one-episode bag.

This premise could have been Voyager's best mutli-part story. But the existing version always leaves me feeling unsatisfied.

There were a fair number of those.
There really were. Abrupt Endings Trek. There are soooooo many episodes that are just rocking along and I'm loving it and then all of a sudden, with NO build, it just resolves in 2 seconds. Voyager has so many episode endings that feel like slamming into a brick wall at full speed while you were looking the other direction.

I'm voting for The Void this time. I like it, it's just a shame that the series didn't have more episodes like this throughout its run. And yeah, Sakonna, I agree that it could have been a two-parter, or even more.

I noticed that too. I'm trying to figure out what that tells us -- if anything. I've checked on the other forums where this contest has run before (TOS&TAS, TNG, DS9, and ENT) and every other series has had at least one repeat winner.

That sounds like an excellent recipe for a mutiny.

I suppose I'll get rid of Before and After - not a Kes fan.
Mixed feelings there... B&A shows us what Voyager could have been and should have been. Lives are lost, love is lost and found again, people embrace unexpected new challenges, characters grow and change, people get PROMOTED... but then the Reset Button kills it, and we know that the rest of the series will now be worse for what it failed to do for real.

Sigh. :( Lifesigns again. Same reasons.
