The least disliked character of DS9

Okay Trek fans, the episode and movie versions proved very popular, and here's the beginning of the character contest. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of main and some recurring characters and you need to eliminate your least favorite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations before you eliminate another one. Not a very accurate way of determining the best character, but a fun game nonetheless. No tactical voting! You cannot remove a character because you feel they would threaten your favorite character's chance to win. Pretty simple. Enjoy!

I would eliminate Keiko O'Brien. She always seemed whiny to me, and didn't seem like she wanted to be on Deep Space Nine, and she was gone a lot to on expeditions and such.

Sarah Sisko, because either she is someone we never met - in which case she is not a DS9 character - or she's an annoying Prophet (the fake "Sarah Sisko") who took over a woman's body and raped it, i.e. used it to make her have sex against her will and live with a man and get married and have a child, all against her will. She also manipulated a man's feelings and made him marry someone who didn't even exist. All for her/its/their purposes. And this was portrayed as something OK, even great.

This is something that annoyed me as well. I can't believe how little, if at all, this seemed to bother Sisko. That whole storyline seemed pretty dumb to me.

Now I'll squeeze the pagh out of Vedek Bareil's ears, and kick him out along the way. Always found him to to be an insufferably dull character. His death came as a blessing. And it still wasn't the last we'd seen of him, albeit a mirror version.

I've removed Esri. I didn't exactly dislike her as much as I resented the amount of time introducing/developing her character took away from the existing characters that I loved and the story arc in which I was highly invested.
