I feel like the current lineup we've got is The Canon, so as far as I'm concerned we got the most important part right and I'm not overly concerned with the order from here on out.
I guess I'll vote
Undiscovered Country as it seems the least essential and most redundant of this group (a finale movie in an entire series of TOS movies designed to accommodate a "potential finale" contingency, and all already existing as a "post-finale" of the TV series). Also, I feel like
Search For Spock and
First Contact get too much shit from fans.
If we bench TUC here we'd be left with the II-III-IV trilogy and The Next Generation's Motion Picture, which feels correct.
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan - 1
Star Trek III: The Search for Spock - 2
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home - 0
Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country - 1
Star Trek: First Contact - 1
I'm suddenly remembering casually watching the Sci-fi channel on a lazy weekend ten years ago or so, and it went from the end of
Undiscovered Country and
immediately segueing (no commercial or promo break) right into
First Contact, to my pleasant surprise. The way you go from Kirk's log talking about handing the reins to a new crew and then it's just like "and here they are!" especially contributed to the pure awesomeness. It put the biggest smile on my face.
