The Idiotic Questions Thread

What is Kirk's favorite NFL team? Since he's been established as an equestrian, do you think its the Broncos?

Or are they too "aweful"?

Good, because this thread is a well-spring of new thoughts and ideas to improve our lives over the coming millennium. Also, I want a good thread to post on when i'm drunk.

How much lead could a Pakled pack if a Pakled could pack lead? :vulcan:

this is a trick question since it is the ritualistic consumption of lead in sprinkle form that causes the neurotoxicity that makes pakleds so stupid.

Does Data come?
being as how data "goes" he must "come" at some point

In TNG, we see Picard's brother, Troi's sister, Yar's sister, Worf's brothers (both adopted and blood), heard reference to Geordi's brother and sister, see Data's two "brothers", here about Beverley's siblings.....

So the only two regulars who don't have documented siblings are Riker and Wesley. But Riker has what is effectively a clone due to the transporter accident (Second Chances).

So there is an apparent force in the Universe that says Next Gen Characters Must Have a Sibling. Does this mean that Picard and Bev have a baby together, so that Wesley is spared the indignity of being an only child?

No. Wesley was an abnormal prodigy, who didn't fulfill his promise in Starfleet. Normal people have siblings, and want to be a part of Starfleet. It's in character.

In fact what fans never really understood was that in truth "Wesley" was simply a hallucination that only Picard ever really saw.

Wesley never existed and was simply created by Picard's pedo-phobic subconscious to ensure that he would never have sex and father a child(which was obviously successful since he was wound up tighter than a boa constrictor around an antelope)

This hallucination occurred for the first time to Picard during his academy days after beverly came to him one day and said "jean-luc, i'm pregnant" the resulting shock sent him on this schizophrenic trip that he never came out of; even after Beverly told him a few minutes later: "just kidding."

Everyone around picard simply assumed that "Mr. Crusher" was just a nickname that picard liked to use at random for everyone. They treated it like a game: "who will he call 'mr. crusher' today?" they would ask. It was loads of fun for the crew.

Why do all Vulcans have the same haircut?

in fact what people assume to be vulcan "hair" is actually a symbiotic lifeform that feeds on vulcan humour. And they do a pretty good job of it.

Is the Mars Defense Perimeter really only 3 torpedo like things Best of Both Worlds? If so, then it is a pretty weak defense. Why is it, despite at least 3 separate attempts to invade / destroy Earth (Vejur, the Whale Probe, and the nasty critters from Conspiracy) before the Borg attack, the Federation did nothing to build up Sol defenses? Was this because there is no money in the Federation, so no real defenses could be bought?

Why do Chimpanzees have the same haircut? They don't. It just takes a discerining eye to see the differences, which are many.

It seems I like answering idiotic questions. :D

actually no, the Federation bases all of its laws on the need the need to preserve an individual's self-esteem. As such, since anything critical is seen as damaging to self esteem no one dares risk suggest that things are not adequate or risk life imprisonment for damaging the self-esteem of the parties involved.

Does Vulcan have an ocean?

The Vulcan's removed their oceans as walking along a beach is not logical. They got rid of their moon for the same reason - moonlight is not logical.
