Spoilers The Good Place Season 4

Taken through Tahanis narcissm and delusions of sainthood I just think Cersei is too blatantly evil. Sansa I think is too weak for Tahani to identify with her. Especially early Sansa.

It was never implied the characters were based on Tahani’s image of herself. They could be based on other people’s image of her as rich, self absorbed and narcissistic. Also somebody resentful and jealous to her greater siblings.

I agree Margery is the best fit.

But she is claiming them and boasting about the connection. She wouldnt do that if the list included stuff like Ugly Old Hag n. 3 and Monstrous Torture Troll. Heck, for all we know the whole list is bs that came directly from her own imagination and someone just decided it was easier to let her believe she was right.

Yeah but remember her attention to details is selective. She could see a character like Cersei and think “Hey there’s a strong, powerful woman.” And the negative aspects of her? Well they mixed in elements of someone else.

I like the way Jason did the smart in this episode.

And we get confirmation that Michael is in fact a big scary monster underneath.

But what I don't get is why they couldn't just ask him something specific they discussed in private. They didn't need the "Time's running out, you have to destroy us both!" No way Vicky would know that, for example, Michael manipulated Eleanor to Chidi on Earth by dropping the title of his book for her to google.

Motherforker! You guys were right with your suspicions. I really didn't want to believe a switcheroo happened but sure enough...

I love that Jason of all people was the one who sussed out Bad Janet. "Not a girl," indeed!

Poor Glenn, not only did he defect from the Bad Place to warn Team Cockroach only to get gooified, but it also appears that Shawn deliberately left Glenn out of the loop regarding the Bad Janet plan. Unless that's what Glenn wants us to think... ;)

(Seriously, I really did think Jason was onto something with those repeated suggestions)

More Jason love: I was with him 100% about actually wanting to see Michael's true form.

Lastly: Derek and his sex toys. :guffaw:

Yeah, I was I disappointed no one thought of that solution. There's plenty of things only Team Cockroach would be privy, particularly between Michael and Eleanor.

That episode was awesome. I'm glad it was actually Janet that did the switch because it makes that scene between Michael and Eleanor a few episodes ago all the more sincere. Also, Poor Glenn. I liked him, especially in the Web short that was before the season premiere.

I didn't suspect that Janet had been replaced, but I had a feeling Jason was going to be right about believing them both (Michael and Glenn).

Yeah, that bugged me too.
So the people who thought something hinky happened on the train were right.
Glenn was not the person who I thought was going to show up. I hope this isn't the last we see of him.
I guess I was wrong, and Micheal is a monster, apparently all of them are scary monsters in human suits. I'm just a little surprised that they'd bother with the human suits when there are no people around, but I guess that's just one of those things you just accept with a TV show with a limited budget.
Jason being the one to figure out that it was Bad Janet was a great moment for him. I look forward to his and Micheal's rescue mission.
Now I really want to see Micheal without his human suit on.
I loved the stages of a demon's development.

I guess she could have made a device that automatically showed Glenn telling the truth and Michael lying. But her MO was creating chaos.

My question is, why didn’t they ask, if Michael comes back how do they know it’s still him? What is stopping Sean from letting them rescue Janet then switching in Vicky?

I'm assuming to "kill" Glenn. Or Michael if it came to it.
I don't think it had any sort of lying detecting abilities.

She should have made it in a way that wouldn't be used against her to expose her. It did result some funny scenes. Jason wanting to see the real Michael was great.

It's hard to fit a bunch of seventy foot monsters in a conference room (or torture room)

But it didn’t expose her. Her being exposed had nothing to do with the detector.

In the second episode of this season, the one where they send the demon who pretended to be the little old lady back to the Bad Place, there is a weird shot that takes place on the train platform.

While Eleanor is talking to one of the Bad Janets, the camera is focused on Eleanor. We see Good Janet walk across the shot behind Eleanor. We don't get a shot of Good Janet's face at all as she crosses behind Eleanor. We never see this kind of weird shot in a show without some explanation or reason. Since seeing that shot, I've wondered if we'd get some follow up. Last episode was the payoff. I think that must have been part of the switch off plan. That made me suspicious of Janet when Glenn wasn't sure if Michael was an imposter.

Yeah, this was a great episode. I didn't care for the first one of the season but I think things have gotten back to the level of quality writing I've grown accustomed to from this show.
