I can see why Tuchel has made some decisions, the likes of Foden and Palmer have had awful seasons, Toney is a good deputy for Kane and has been used to playing in hot weather.
But if form over name counts why is Gibbs-White out? And why take Stones but not Maguire?
Guess we'll know soon enough if some of these decisions turn out to be gutsy or stupid.

Stoked with third for United and really hope Carrick will be properly backed by Ineos / Ratcliffe. Jury's well and truly out on the latter as far as I'm concerned (to put it as politely as I possibly can), but Carrick deserves an opportunity if only for displaying some actual common sense. After all, who knew playing people in positions they're actually suited to actually works?? (Not Amorim, anyway.)

Right now I'm feeling that I will watch it if it's on, but I won't be seeking it out. Kind of hard to get excited for it considering the corruption that I've been hearing about (Parking, Public Transit, etc) going into it.

I'd take that as a given. If the group stages unfold in the most likely way, England will face Brazil in the quarter finals, and there is no way we are beating Brazil.

I'm going with Spain to win it, there's the potential for a Spain/France semi final and a Spain/Brazil final, both cracking games on paper.
There's also the potential for half-empty stadiums and a lot of jet-lagged fans and players, the format for this tournament has been all wrong, and the next one is said to be even worse!
FIFA ban fans from taking water bottles into WC stadiums. Ostensibly to ensure 'safety' but clearly just another cash grab. Awful, awful decision. I don't think I've ever been less interested in a World Cup.
