I love The Flash. I consider it the best of the CW superhero shows. But when there are plot holes, I like to discuss them and try to understand them.
I realized decades ago that there was no way to make any coherent sense of the DC or Marvel universes, and just to accept them as fantasy and suspend my critical thinking skills. The scientific and logical absurdity of those universes is part of their charm. And part of the charm of the Berlanti DC shows is that they embrace that absurdity more wholeheartedly, nonjudgmentally, and unapologetically than just about any other live-action superhero show I've ever seen. Most shows and films either try to tone down and "ground" the universes (as Arrow did for its first couple of years) or to portray their crazier elements as something to satirize and scorn. These shows just go for it.
