Spoilers The Flash - Season 2

I hope not.

It sort of takes a lot away from a superhero whose only superpower is superspeed when there's tons of other speedsters around. It's bad enough there's so many speedster villians.

If Henry-2 secretly has speed powers for some reason? Yeah, I could see all of that. Mom-2 covering with the neighbors, not wanting to worry or risk Barry-2.... Months would definitely be reasonable.

No. It really wouldn't. Especially with the neighbors, employers, coworkers, friends, and even the rest of the family (both sides). Doubly so when both Barry and his wife work at a police station.

It's a really bad theory that falls apart in all kinds of ways. This is just one of the many ways in which it does so.

They have done their best to hide the Man in the Iron Mask's height. With him sitting most of the time. But he seems have way too slim a build to be later be revealed as John Wesley Shipp. Unless they are honoring the old movie serials. Where the masked villain revealed in the last chapter was never the person who wore the suit before that. With no effort to match the body type of the two actors.... I doubt it. ;)

Last week's episode was confusing and anger inducing. This week's episode was boring. Flash feels like it's limping to the finish.

I also miss Patty, which was the first thing that angered me about this series this season.

I didn't think that they'd get rid of Patty but I think we'll see her again. She has to become Hot Pursuit.

And I'm excited about the end of this season. It's like watching Lost again. Who's the guy in the mask? Will we see the 90s Flash?

The season itself didn't live up to my expectations though. They promoted it as the season of speedsters but we haven't really gotten to that yet. For a show that moves things along quickly, they're certainly going the slow burn route.

But it needs to be compelling. This episode was not that and we only have 3 episodes left. I think the only mystery I care about is the man in the iron mask thing and based on what happened with Patty and the Zoom origin story, I'm worried I will be disappointed by the revelation.

This episode was definitely a slow "set up" episode, designed to give us some character moments and set things up for the grand finale. We seem to be heading towards a final showdown between Zoom an the Flash where Zoom is now on this Earth, wrecking havoc, and Barry having regained his powers must stop him once and for all. I did like the scenes between Killer Frost and Caitlin.

Also, I am thinking the second particle explosion will give Barry back his super speed but also create a bunch of new meta humans. I wonder if the second particle explosion makes Wally a speedster and he is able to save the Flash. His line to the Flash about not being able to repay him for saving him, seems like it could be a bit of foreshadowing.

Barry will defeat Zoom, Jesse will get her powers and go back to her Earth, Wells will die in a noble sacrifice, Wallys powers will not be immediately revealed, and thats what I think for the end of the year.

I also thought it was rather callous and unheroic of the characters to go "Yeah, let's encourage him to exert himself and use up nearly all his remaining lifespan" instead of trying to convince him to stop exerting/aging himself so they could help him. The most we got was a token "Don't do this" without any followup.
