He didn't say it would blow your mind. He said you wouldn't believe it even if he told you. I guarantee that it'll be someone disappointing.
My personal guess is that it's Eobard or Eddie Thawn. That, or an even earlier version of Hunter just after he got his Speed Force that he keeps around so he can keep screwing with the past (since that's the only way that it almost makes sense that killing a past self didn't delete him outright).
Did any one see the nicely placed "Big Belly Burger" poster right beside Wells sleeping arrangements?

all I can think of is - Eddie, maybe Carter Hall? Will it be someone we've already met? or any existing character? or will it be a character that hasn't been introduced in the show?

Yes, Zoom was who I was referring to. I don't put much stock in what producers/behind the set people say anymore. Abrams ruined that years ago. And all the "blow your mind" thing does is insure that it will be an even bigger disappointment, because it most certainly won't.
I think the only thing that might blow my mind would be J'onn Jonns and Harwood finishes off the crossover with Supergirl. Than Barry would have to admit he was on Supergirls earth. Maybe we can also find Supergirls doppelgänger and Benoist can guest star on Flash and at least I can be happy to see her if the rest of the show goes bad.

Someone having an opinion the opposite of your's or having a positive opinion about the show isn't the same as as not allowing negative comments about the writing.
Again, not necessarily around here. As an example, I took a peek in that BvS thread and just ran away. Comments like "Why do you people even watch the show if you hate it so much" and the like constantly show up all over the place, followed by nearly everyone jumping on the bandwagon attacking the people posting criticisms.
The fascinating part is that several of those same people then seem to feel that it's totally okay to voice criticisms about other shows, and then act outraged and insulted when anyone points out an issue with them.
So sure, while what you say is technically true, it's only true in a technical sense.
