Ah, of course. To me, that wasn't so much "hinted a possible romance" as "Barry mentally batting way out of his league."
Reread what I actually said: "(note how the theatrical MCU never acknowledged Agents of SHIELD or the Netflix Marvel shows)." I specifically did not include Agent Carter in that statement, precisely because it was an exception to the general pattern.
Good thing I also mentioned that Matt Murdock was in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Yeah, it has its own set of caveats.

I went in with low expectations . . . and it was OK. Fun. Entertaining. More or less coherent, at least so far as DC movies go. I was never bored, which seems like a low bar to clear, but that's just where the likes of 'Suicide Squad', 'Man of Steel' and WW84 set it.
Some very jarring VFX, but I've seen worse in more expensive movies. Some real tonal whiplash that could take people out of it if they take the whole thing too seriously (not recommended). Honestly that may have inadvertently saved it since the deep-fakey stuff is just cartoonishly unrealistic enough to avoid the uncanny valley of it all. Some very questionable choices here and there. I mean a microwave? Really? Who thought that was a good idea!? Not just the microwave itself, but that whole sequence.

Okay, I forgot about the more recent reintroduction of characters like Murdock, but that's a nitpick that doesn't invalidate the general point: that it's not surprising the makers of The Flash would be more interested in homaging other movies than TV characters, aside from the older "classic" ones. Different people exist in different referential bubbles and don't always include the same things in them. The MCU reintegrating TV characters is a welcome exception, but it doesn't mean we should be surprised when other filmmakers don't follow suit.
Ouch. Three day total for 'The Flash' has now dropped to $55m, 20% lower than 'Black Adam'. So not impossible that it wil make less than $350m worldwide in total.
IIRC, the reason why the MCU didn't reference the Netflix characters was because at the time they were made Jeph Loeb was still running Marvel TV and he was one of Ike Perlmutter's Yes Men. Which meant he was opposed to Feige.
Once Perlmutter and all his Yes Men were removed, including Loeb, and Feige merged the TV and Movies Department together so he was running everything, they could do whatever they wanted with Netflix's characters.
I'm not surprised. The lead star has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons, the DC movies are very hit and miss(far more misses than hits), the superhero genre is getting tired, and the price of going to the movies these days is beyond ridiculous. This movie had a lot going against it right out of the gate.
I'm waiting to catch it on 4k, but I can't believe that after all the delays there is still bad CGI. There's just no excuse for that.

The general audience is tired of the hit and miss DC films and are probably just confused at this point.
The theatrical trash version of JL has probably hurt the Flash character for his maiden solo movie.
There is still fatigue from going to the cinema post Covid and the CBM genre is undergoing even more fatigue.
Ezra Miller is a total douche and probably belongs in jail.
I don't see how the film was ever going to succeed with all those issues. The reboot with Superman Legacy will likely struggle too. As soon as WB decided to run away from Snyder's Universe they should of used the Covid lockdown break to scrap everything and just go away for several years before a return. They are like crack addicts at the moment unable to put it down.

We went as a family for Father’s Day and all enjoyed it to varying degrees. My wife isn’t very much into this sort of thing, with a few exceptions (she gave up about 15 minutes into Quantumania) and my eldest went through a MCU phase but isn’t really into them anymore. But they both liked it, though my youngest dozed off (she’s at an age where getting her to do anything with the rest of us is an achievement). I thought Miller, for all their offscreen sins, is a very watchable and engaging actor. The rescue of the babies was brilliantly done, one of the best superhero action sequences in some time.
Keaton and Affleck both got great action sequences as Batman (I don’t think Michael ever got to fight like that in the Burton movies) and I had remained unspoiled for the Gadot cameo (the lasso of truth bit was hilarious). I think I may actually have preferred this showdown with Zod to the one in MOS, though was surprised that they didn’t make more of the return of the kid who Barry saved but whose dad he didn’t.

That's a non sequitur, since Snyder has had nothing to do with the past eight DCEU theatrical releases (aside from what I presume is a token producer credit on Wonder Woman '84). I don't care for Snyder's films, but they make up very much the minority of the DCEU, and there are a number of other DCEU films I've quite enjoyed.
Indeed, part of what I like about the post-Snyder DCEU is that it isn't a single monolithic thing; for the past five years, each film has been allowed to be its own distinct entity, its filmmakers' idiosyncratic creation with minimal connections to any of the others beyond the shared background (although The Flash appears to be very much an exception to that, and Shazam!: Fury of the Gods was to an extent as well).

It is entertaining and amusing. I even laughed at some point - as a German, I normally avoid emoting in public but I couldn’t help myself.
Ezra was funny! They also balance emotional intensity well. All is forgiven. Wonder if they reappear.
I love that the movie had the gonads to resolve why different superhero movies have different continuities and actors.
I never sought out superhero action figures before but now I have a need for Supergirl Kara. However, McFarlane brought out figures in 7-inch scale but it requires a 3.75 scale to match with Mattel’s Jurassic Saga and Playmates’ Star Trek lines. Why is there so much variety? In Germany, there would be an industry-wide DIN standard.

It was Snyder who cast Miller and each of the Justice Leaguers who appeared in the film, and set the general tone of their characterizations, so rightly or wrongly, Snyder will get the credit or the blame for most of the DCEU even when other directors have taken what he established and built upon them.
I have been critical of much of his approach to this universe but I think he utterly nailed the casting. I think time will be kinder even to Jesse Eisenberg’s controversial Lex Luthor than critics and fans were at the time.
