@0.20 is that the new tardis interior?
I liked the episode overall, especially the part where the writers understood the circular nature of time. I also question why Rassilon didn't just blast the Doctor when he had the chance. I was also disappointed that Donna wasn't in it more - I mean the Doctor told the Master that she was unconscious and the Master had the entire population of London available to bring her in. Nice triple bluff with the knocking.
As for Claire Bloom - at first I thought she was the White Guardian. Now I think that the Doctor's wife or mother is more likely. I would prefer it if she were Romana or Susan but I don't think they seem to want to go delving into any more past assistants. I've always felt that Susan's story remains very up in the air.
I'm looking forward to seeing how River Song fits into Series 5 but I wasn't too happy to see more snogging. The love affair with Rose worked for me because it had never been done before but I don't want too many of the Doctor's assistants falling for him.

Another RTD non-epic epic full of sound and fury and nonsense but it's kind of expected at this point. I'll be curious if Moffett is any better at making special episodes special. Some of my favorite RTD eps were actually the ones with the least fanfare.

I thought it was really good, and that, like part 1, it will be even better on second viewing. There are just so many great scenes and moments in it, with a lot of subtext.
Even though Tennant kind of spoiled the 'four knocks' twist during his interviews on Dec. 31st, I didn't see the twist with Wilf being the cause coming. (Also, I had sort of forgotten about the spoiler due to all the excitement in the episode.) That was a great speech the Doctor had there. "Lived too long."
I liked the 'reward' idea, too. My brother told me that Rose would be in the episode and I said, "No way. How is she supposed to fit in there?".
I loved the scenes between the Doctor and the Master, they seemed almost Shakespearian to me, especially together with the Timelord dilemma. So, I guess, you could say it's great drama.
The rescue scene and the crazy ship attack were great as well.
I also think the story made a lot of sense, but maybe not in an apparent way. The only loose end is the accelerated development of the Ood, but maybe Moffat will take that up someday.
I'm not sure what to think about Eleven. I appreciated how he seemed to enjoy crashing, but he surely has the worst catchphrase ever - "Geronimo!"
Oh well, I had to get used to Ten, too, back in the day, which now seems like an eternity ago, but for me it was actually just less than two years. That's probably a good sign, feeling like you've made some sort of journey.

I really, really enjoyed that. While there are some bits that don't quite fit or aren't fully closed, and yes the companions bit at the end was a little overlong, it was pretty damn good.
All those people saying the plot didn't make sense - made sense to me. Followed it all. You are allowed to fill in the gaps, you know. Are there plot holes? Maybe . A couple.

Rassilon. I figure they brought him back for the Time War, just as they did with the Master. Bad, bad choice. They relied too much on the legend and didn't see the madman until it was much too late. A burning Gallifrey is timelocked again, stuck in something worse than a time loop.
The Naismith part was a bit of a distraction. There were some scenes that seem to go on too long for no reason. Yes, Cactus Girl needed a slap. And the stuff that was cut would have allowed more room for other stuff, more explanation. Oooh, make me a script editor on that show!
Cribbins, brilliant. Tennant, brilliant. Simm, brilliant, especially in his last scene. Dalton, pretty damn good in a role that was going to be difficult to pull off.
"I could do so much more! And this is my reward... AND IT'S NOT FAIR!" "I don't want to go." Heartbreaking. Part of me is thinking that was actually Tennant saying that, not the Doctor.
I don't think we've seen the last of Donna, somehow. And what happened to the Master? He died? This is the Master we're talking about?...
Matt Smith is just all right with me, Matt Smith is just all right, oh yeah...The mad gabbling, the manic energy after regeneration, the TARDIS breaking up around him and he's going "Woohoo!" Loved it.
And the trailer was great. Can't wait. Roll on "Spring 2010".

I have to say I enjoyed the episode, I don't know yet if it's from being happy to get any new Doctor Who or that it really was good. I do think the Timelords were a wasted opportunity. And can someone please tell me who the woman in white was? Romana? Susan? I was thinking Romana due to the comment to Wilf that she was also lost and Romana was lost/trapped in E-Space.
I wasn't disappointed by this, it was more like when Jon Pertwee regenerated into Tom Baker.
He was poisoned by a metric crap ton of radiation in his body and still had time to walk all the way back from the caves of Metibelius three and run the Tardis back to earth. Plus in Normal Humans Radiation poisoning can have a phase called the "walking ghost phase" it kinda seemed like the Doctor was in this Phase....
We really overthought that "Journal of Impossible Things" didn't we?
I am getting vibes of Patrick Troughton from Matt Smith... Don't know if it is the dress or how he moves, but this could be good.
I don't think it is per say.
This could be from just after the crash landing, I'm thinking. Before or during the TARDIS's healing process.
Not to mention falling hundreds of feet from a spaceship through a glass ceiling.

Yeah, realistically, he should have died from his fall. Timelords seem to be pretty hard to kill.
By the way, I still can't believe the Doctor killed the Timelords at the end of the Time War in such cold blood. Holy shit!

I also liked the music at the beginning. It's a different version of a track whose name I forget.
Just watched Confidential and wow that montage at the end nearly had me in tears I will so so miss David Tennant for me he may well of been the 3rd Doctor I have watched (8/9/10) but he will always me my number 1 doctor.
