The Down Under Lounge

That was incredible.

When Jackie's wrong it's embarrassing, but when she is right - and that happens fairly often - she is right on the money. It's legislation so Rupert can get a few more mil in the bank. That's all.

only a member of scummo's band of crooks could be this crass.

the minister accused of the historical rape has scheduled his press conference at the same time as Grace Tame is speaking to the national press club.

also the name being bandied about is that it's the christian porter (attorney-general) who is seems is very much in the brett kavanaugh model of embarrassment to the legal profession.

Porter? Please note my complete lack of surprise.

Election now.

I'm not sure how I feel now after that.. What with the police dropping the investigation saying no complaint was made and this press conference.. A mix of sadness, anger, and other things.

A very curious affair.

I honestly couldn't tell if this was a man outraged by an appalling mistruth, or a man sweating under the lights because he's been caught.

All round, it's a bad look. And Porter has said some truly appalling things about women in the past, check out the 4 Corners episode last year.

which scummo and his band of reprobates would most likely win.

it's been pretty disgusting with one lnp senator making allegations about a labor MP.

Turns out it was just a reheat of the allegations against shorten but the police closed the book on that years ago with 10 alibi witnesses who states that he elsewhere at the time.

Doesn't stop the government supporters from playing their tired old game of "but labor" though and they seem unable to comprehend the difference.

I am not sure what to do about this.

My son works at an Australian Disability Enterprise (ADE) . He received Jobkeeper from late May to September which means that his employer did not pay any of his wage out of their own pockets. In September he had an NDIS review and was received a Core Support budget of just over $40,000 so he could still access his ADE employment for two years. This money goes to the ADE, a non-profit organisation.

His employer have told their disabled workers that they are cutting their employment to one day a week. He currently works three days a week. He get $7 an hour in disability wage. Once he only working 8 hours a day he wage will only be $56 a week or less than 3000 a year.

I am hoping that the ADE are not going to be paid that full amount of the funding.

It looks the NDIS is just one, big ripoff scheme.

Talk to your state and federal members, as well as state senators if you can. If you can get Jackie on side, something may come out.

Bump.

Someone made a good point. Porter is suing the ABC for exposing him as the alleged rapist, but at no point did the ABC use his name, just that there was a allegation against a minister. He outed himself, he had to. His Cabinet fellows would have been sweating on that. He's dropped himself in it.

And what happens if the court decides the case has no merit?

Meanwhile you have Nicole Flint crying about all this but passing the blame onto Labor because it's all labor's fault apparently.

Oh and our PM "How good is it you can protest here and not be shot?"

OH and the NSW Police Minister having a brainfart

So the corporations that received $1bil in job keeper that they weren't entititled to are going to be allowed to keep the money.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-03...k-recipient-have-common-gerry-harvey/13257024

although, truthfully, I'm not sure this is official government policy — is that any overpayment to them by the Commonwealth, and therefore by the taxpayers of Australia, will now no longer need to be returned.

They were supposedly in need of money yet managed to pay out $3.6bil in dividends and $20mil in executive bonuses.

and remember people this it the same bunch of rancid fuckers who went after people for centrelink debts without hesitation or even basic facts.
