Hockey getting absolutely (and rightfully) torn apart over his thoughtless, out of touch remarks on housing affordability. Half of Sydney is going to come after Joe on election day with baseball bats. Abbott needs to cut him loose before he leaves us Bill Shorten PM as his legacy. He's so out of his depth it's just not funny.

Smoking Joe has put his foot in his mouth so many times that it is coming out of his arse. The man hasn't got even the slightest idea about how it is to be an average Australian, all he knows is how to be a rich, entitled dick.

Anyone who suffered because of her 'advice' should be to sue her for every penny she has.
Just watched the whole thing on the 60 Minutes site.
I've known more than a few people who make up incredible lies about health, trauma etc.. on the same scale as Gibson and seem incapable of admitting it. It was creepy watching her. I hope that's her last interview because repeated ones would feel like exploitation of mental illness. She is clearly delusional and doesn't even realize how damaging the interview is.
I do wonder how she got away with it, as in how publishers had no need for any proof of such extreme claims of healing. Did they just see the pretty girl who took pretty pictures and had a following who would buy books?
I know a person who says she healed ovarian cancer with diet. I suspect she must had an ovarian cyst (common enough) and was told it needed to be removed or it could become cancer, ignored this and it went away. These exaggerations are disturbingly common and at least one person was influenced to consider not having conventional cancer treatment because of that story. That publishers and APPLE seemingly gave Belle their imprimatur needs to be held up to scrutiny because I think any doubts people had reading a blog would have been wiped away with the weight of money and promotion from outside companies.
Hopefully she is eventually charged with something when enough digging into the finances is done. And hopefully the next person that comes along with a healing tale is expected to provide real medical proofs.

That's the one think coming out of this interview that I find frustrating. Someone does something we don't understand and we find abhorrent and therefore many assume they must be mentally ill.
