It looks like Hobart honour of being labelled as the ‘worst place in the world’ has been lost to Auckland. The New Zealanders have outdone us with their protest.

The numbers were very impressive and much higher than Aus. Numbers really do matter! They did not expect or plan for that amount of protestors in Auckland. There was virtually no buffer space between Parker and the protesters. It will be interesting to see if she cancels Wellington.

As to Thorpe, I could just as easily see her on the other side of the protest, she's an opportunist.

I was absolutely stoked when the federal coalition was kicked out, but I'm not as convinced by this result. Locally, I'm disappointed a decent, genuine, hard-working MP who actually got things done in my area has been turfed in favour of someone who has made it absolutely crystal clear his priorities are very different. I haven't forgotten how utterly rotten and corrupt the last Labor government was in this state, either (Macdonald and Obeid, anyone?). But no matter. As someone who regards all sides of politics with equal disdain I've never been on board with the notion that everything will be magically better - or magically worse - with a change of government. Time will tell.

Same here, we had an almost landslide Labor win in SA but nothing much changed.

You really are not missing anything honestly. I watched one episode lasted less then five minutes before walking out of the room to do something else.

Can't understand how anyone can watch that show. I hate it. On facebook - I use filters. Thankfully when any friend is watching it, it gets filtered out. Thankfully the show is almost over for another year.

And the amount of Cross media on that one. Melanie Bracewell even getting in on the act promoting it on her page. Not that she's that funny to start with, she seems to laugh at some of her own jokes on her show. I do believe they go out of their way to find the most obnoxious people to put on their "experiment" and just let the fireworks happen. The people on the show are probably the worst kind of people you would ever get to know and seem more interested in their little five minutes of infamy then anything else.

Also the hide of them calling the show an Experiment..... Sorry rant mode off.
