I remember those. But they got away with a lot of stuff back then too, now it just seems people try to craft perfect humour that tries not to offend everyone, I thought taking the piss is part of it.
I won't watch that. My son was there the weekend before with his grandparents, when the perp was scouting the place. Still gives me the creeps. It's a good place. Just bring clothes for hot (at any time of year). No worries.
https://lafm.com.au/entertainment/b...hur-massacre-movie-begins-filming-in-victoria It's being made by Stan the streaming service.
A bit of good news - Andrew Bolt is leaving Melbourne. So Dan Andrews got rid of two viruses this year. Another state will have to deal with his bullshit.
^ Nope. I think I saw something about him moving to the Mornington Peninsula ... quite sure Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane or perth would welcome him. Or Canberra, Hobart or Darwin. Or somewhere in rural Australia. *disappears know several people might hit me soon*
Something that scares me about Australia are the spiders and I wont post a picture because I know that can be unpleasant to some people but the Huntsman in particular would probably make me jump on to the nearest table. It's because they are so much bigger than what I'm used to seeing but I'm ok with the usual house spiders and will catch them and put them outside. After the initial shock of seeing it we are both usually in tune with the old catch and release. A few years ago a False Widow moved in to my skylight and I made the mistake of letting it stay just so I could observe it and it was behind a mesh netting. As a result I had to seal up my skylights with a plastic sheet because false widows were coming in through gaps in the seal as spiderlings and then getting bigger. I was bitten by a Noble False Widow on my hand and it was like a bee sting. I kept it covered in plasters for a few weeks but it was still itching from it a year later.
I also will not watch the Port Arthur movie. I still have things which trigger grief and trauma from this incident even though I wasn't there and didn't know anyone there, though a young person from near where I was living was killed. I could accept a documentary, if it had a purpose, but a movie NO. (Wouldn't watch a doco either).
I hope Stan drops the idea of this movie. It sounds like a really terrible idea. If you didn't know China just landed a probe on the Moon and had it return samples back to Earth, but I've not seen any of our local TV covering this story, and had it not been for this board and another I would never have known about it. Is our current word war with China censoring our news?
You mean on an asteroid? And Japan? https://www.news.com.au/technology/...y/news-story/7d8c1a04b607bcc7b871b9744eea4a5e China has one too, can't tell if it's arrived or not. https://www.cnbc.com/2020/12/04/chi...ng-to-earth-with-moon-samples-in-a-first.html
The change 5 probe that's the one .. The only place I saw anything about it was the ABC and 7 the other channels either skipped it or left it out. They landed on the Moon and the upper stage of the lander is on the way back to Earth with samples. I just was under the impression our current feud with China is making news media touchy here about positive stories about China.
I distrust their science (Huawei). I distrust their politics, see the book 'Silent Invasion' and the video below (abt 1 hr long), bit on Aust at 46min. I distrust how they treat their own people (Uighurs). I distrust their bullying tactics re trade and politics. I distrust their weapons buildup. I distrust their expansion onto islands. I distrust.
