When I was young we had the Commonwealth Employment Service who actually helped people find work. I once got told off for turning up a little too often to see if there were any suitable jobs I could apply for.
Edited to add - Centrelink came into being in 1997 - I thought it was earlier than that. The Department of Social Services was better than Centrelink.

I purchased a packet of Smiths Chicken chips today and they taste different to the last time I tried them.
Cheese and onion are the only ones that I like.

My favorite LONG GONE chips were Smith's Pepper Steak. They were HOT, they were very beefy, very black pepper, very.. god I loved them. I really really loved them.

I found a bunch in a bargain shop after they had been discontinued and bought all of them.

I still eat the Kettle Chilli chips but find it a bit of a random draw as to when they are hot and not so hot. Just seems to be pot luck when I get a bag off the shelf at the supermarket.
I really wouldn't want them to get too hot because when they are a bit too spicy they give me the runs.
The only 'posh' chips I really liked are the Red Rock Honey Soy Chicken and the Lime and Black Pepper. Can't have many chips now because health.
@teacake like Pepper Steak, Tom Ketchup and Bega Cheese were long gone too, so you never know, they might make a comeback soon too. And yes, they were very tasty.

I'm pretty sure they have because I think I saw a TV ad for this during NCIS last night. For the Ketchup ones.
Seen a few ads for them. Zero interest in buying them.
