The last scene had me thinking Hoth
That's what I assumed.
Watched the final four back-to-back. What a way to finish!

The last scene had me thinking Hoth
I'd rather they cover the period between Malachor and her picking Sabine up in the final coda. Clearly she's been on some kind of journey while the rest of the galaxy had been busy having the original Star Wars Trilogy happen all over the joint.
Also: a Rex novel. I'd love to see how he ended up finding Wolfe & Gregor and retiring to Seelos and hunting joopas...
I know it's something I've probably taken for granted before now, but do we know for a fact that Maul knows about Sidious's Palpatine persona? Did Dooku? I mean do we ever see them together when Sidious didn't have his hood up?I think Maul's biggest mistake was in not telling Ahsoka that Palpatine was the Sith Lord. If anything would have convinced Ahsoka that Anakin was in danger and needed saving from the Sith, it would have been the information that his longtime friend and mentor were the one doing the manipulating.
Maul said, he was not privy to his former Master's plans. So it's likeey he might not have know his biggest secret of all.Rewatching the last episode and dammit, I just realised Filloni went and pulled yet another "Ahsoka = Gandalf" nod right at the end there; she's wearing a cloak very similar to the one from the Rebels coda, but where that one was pristine and white, this one was tatty and grey.
So Ahsoka the Grey becomes Ahsoka the White...And no, before anyone chimes in that's not a 'Grey Jedi' reference; because "Grey Jedi" aren't a thing and the very concept is asinine.

The closest thing to proof that I can think of off the top of my head in the balcony scene outside Palpatine's residence in TPM. Even that could be danced around since it's highly likely Maul got in through some secret access way (he'd hardly go in the front door right past the Senate guards and the Naboo consulate staff.) So he may not have knows who's official residence he was in, only that it was one of possibly several thousand on that tower.
Dooku did say that Sidious controlled the senate, but did he know how directly or did he think Palpatine was Sidious's puppet?
That is indeed a good question. I do seem to recall a moment in my recent re-watch of Clone Wars that indicated that Dooku knew, but little moments like that tend to blur together in a binge re-watch. Maybe it was the sequence where Yoda was on the Sith homeworld in the final arc of the original run?I know it's something I've probably taken for granted before now, but do we know for a fact that Maul knows about Sidious's Palpatine persona? That's almost certainly the intent of that scene and has been my assumption up until now (and still kind of is), however one could just as easily take that moment as "sudden and shocking revelation as he realises who Palpatine really is and what's really going on here". So there's still a credible possibility that Dooku wasn't in the know until literally that last second.Maul said, he was not privy to his former Master's plans. Dooku on the other hand knew.
That final look he gave Palpatine before Anakin killed him on his order was one of shock when realizing the betrayal. I think up to that moment he believed Palpatine would save him.
I have to say that I find it unlikely that neither Maul nor Dooku were aware of Sidious's true identity. If so, then that hood has the concealing power of Clark Kent's glasses. I actually believed that the true purpose of keeping Palpatine's identity "secret" until episode 3 was more for the audience's sake rather than the purpose of hiding his identity from his apprentice. Lucas has said that despite release order, he feels the movies are best watched chronologically. With that in mind, he would want the reveal that Palpatine was a Sith Lord to feel like a shocking betrayal, despite the fact that the majority of his audience had known this since 1983.
Despite my general dissatisfaction with ROTS it is beautifully shot in many places.Well i decided to rewatch Revenge of The Sith as well since if you are going for emotional devastation why not go all out.
Never noticed that during the scenes where the Jedi go off to face Palpatine and Anakin is being conflicted where during sunset before, seems like a nice kind of symbolism.
A Vader movie set between ROTS and ANH by Filoni please.
