What guy doesn't love a woman who swears like a trucker and isn't afraid to bare her chest in public?Seems like Ann Magnuson has always had alittle 'tude.
Young Clancy in her pre-Academy days as a space hippy.

I'm gonna start my own fucking Starfleet, with blackjack... and hookers (or possibly, in this case, hookahs).Tune into the season finale, where you'll hear Admiral Clancy say: "Enough is enough! I have had it with these motherfucking Tal Shiar agents in this motherfucking Starfleet!"
Heh ... decorum does have it's places. The husband or son of said woman.
Jason
IDK - I would have LOVED:I don't think it's too much cursing, but I do think it's a deliberate move to show that nu-nuTrek isn't your Daddy's Star Trek or even your Gen-X brother's JJTrek. Whatever, YMMV.
It would be one thing if the swearing was organic (like when Agnes dropped the f-bomb, that was fine), but Clancy's actress is just making some strange-ass diction choices. And from an In-universe standpoint, I just can't buy that a high-ranking admiral is going to be cussing out a civilian like that. All in all, it's just.
But people here really seem to get a kick out of it, so hey, whatever.
Fuck fuck fuckity fuck. I fucking love Admiral Fucking Clancy!
I was waiting for her to pull the Malcolm Tucker "Fuckity-bye!" when signing off with Picard.
Too much cursing, just to show this is adult content.
Too much? How much cursing is just right?
Exactly.I believe that Admiral Clancy and Jean-Luc are contemporaries having come up through the ranks together for decades.
This may be why she has no compunction about telling him off in no uncertain terms.
No. Otherwise we wouldn't have Admiral Fucking Clancy.
But keep trying.
I have to disagree here. I fucking love my wifeThe husband [...] of said woman.
And yet, swearing like a sailor is a proud naval traditionAlmost all of the cursing seems forced.
IMO, officers On Duty should not be swearing.
Besides that, who's gonna tell her she can't? She's the Commander in Chief of Starfleet. And yet, swearing like a sailor is a proud naval tradition
True. The only times it really matters is during formal situations. And yet, swearing like a sailor is a proud naval tradition
She'd obviously be more selective with her words if Picard were still her subordinate and reporting to her, that's a no-brainer.True. The only times it really matters is during formal situations.
And has a band naned "Bongwater."What guy doesn't love a woman who swears like a trucker and isn't afraid to bare her chest in public?

Admiral Clancy is a descendant of Samuel Jackson![]()
It seems very self consciously written and shoe horned in, in part to inject grit into it to hook non-fan viewers.and to stoke huge off-show controversy over non-issues. I don't see that it added any real dramatic quality to the show per say. She's like a swearing wind up doll and an amplification of the tired old trope of the nasty admiral.Almost all of the cursing seems forced.
IMO, officers On Duty should not be swearing.
The sheer fucking hubris!
