I do get that, and you are completely right ofcourse. That was the first time we ever saw such a huge fleet in Star Trek and I can imagine their thoughts were dealing with that issue just that.

I have correspondence from David Stipes about the Call to Arms fleet. Basically he used whatever resources he had on hand at the time because of time and budget. The Flashback Excelsior was the only actual filming model they used, as all the other ones were either in crates, at Planet Hollywood, or being used for VOY. The rest of the ships were either model kits (Miranda class, K'Tinga), Playmates toys (Vor'cha), or CGI (Defiant, BoP, Galaxy class, Akira class, Steamrunner class, Saber class.) He mentioned that 'they just didn't think' about using the Ent-E model or the TOS Enterprise (I'm assuming he meant the TMP refit here), so at this early stage I don't think there was a moratorium about using hero ships. They just didn't have access to them.
It's a reference from the TV show M*A*S*H. Mildred was the name of Col. Henry Blake's wife in the first season before they changed it to Lorraine. They later recycled the Mildred name for Col. Potter's wife.

They did. Comes up a lot in the show it feels like. More noticable when watching multiple episodes at once.

I love this design! I occasionally watch this ship launch from drydock to that nautical theme with all the other Enterprises in formation. I would've loved this to have been the G or now, the H.
