I believe that there were some Funko Pops.
Why would it?I kind of expected this to happen, Disney is all going to pretend this series doesn't exist after the rating failure. Wonder if Star Wars: Skeleton Crew will suffer the same fate.
All three of the Jedi are on my want list.
It's suppose to have identity politics like The AcolyteWhy would it?
It is? Haven't heard that. It's suppose to have identity politics like The Acolyte
if i ever see a Wookiee with a lightsaber going insane at Walmart, i sure hope the whole thing turns out to be imaginary!Well, I guess that Kelnacca lightsaber insane at Walmart was imaginary.
It is? Haven't heard that.
Seriously, we can't even watch it before the people gripe?
Do we know if they had made any merch for it? I never saw any, but I hadn't really looked at much Star Wars merch lately.
I was just looking through the online Disney Store, and there's no Acolyte merch on there, but of all the shows, the only ones that have merch on there are Ahsoka, Clone Wars, The Mandalorian Young Jedi Adventures and one LEGO set for Skeleton Crew.
Disney has allegedly removed all Acolyte merch from the Disney Store.
I can't confirm, because I never visted the site when/if it existed.
What 'identity politics' were in The Acolyte? It's suppose to have identity politics like The Acolyte
As an Asian myself, I know how bigoted some members of our culture can be, so it's hilarious that racist haters who have issues with item 3 (presumably they don't want the Asian actors in the show) don't realize they're shunning potential allies (Asian bigoted viewers) for items 1 and 2 in their bigotry. I guess "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" doesn't apply.1)interspecies lesbian relationship
2)alien with nonbinary pronouns
3)other than that i have no idea, unless having a diverse cast counts as identity politics
What 'identity politics' were in The Acolyte?
There was the two Mothers, who were presumably a lesbian couple although it was left a little vague, there was a wise old Jedi Master who fell in love with a preteen girl and justified killing her mothers on the basis that "she was meant to be my apprentice"; there was a murderous Sith Lord, and there were the Force Twins that were conceived using the Force [Well].What 'identity politics' were in The Acolyte?
It does feel that way sometimes. I think the other side of it is the lack of engagement with the story and they just don't follow along the characters. Some of the online complaints about this show make no sense to me. One pseudonymous twitter person said "it had no story". Like... what? Give me a break. Just say you didn't like the story, now was that so hard? It's like all the times in the past when people said that a movie had no plot. The problem is that pretty much any time someone says that about a movie, the movie did in fact have a plot. There are movies that literally have no plot, I've seen some of them! But those movies are never cited by the "it had no plot" types.
It sometimes feels as if what really bothers certain people about Acolyte is something that they absolutely cannot say out loud and perhaps cannot even allow themselves to admit they're even thinking. But that energy has to come out somehow, so they blurt out absurdities.
Tragically, The Stranger and Jecki aren't among the announced figures. And now the odds of getting them have obviously plummeted and those are easily the ones most in demand. There are still three Vintage Collection figures about to hit and several more pipelined for 2025. And a bunch of 6" Black Series figures already out or coming.
