The 82nd Annual Academy Awards - discussion thread

Loved Up; not sure if I'd have voted for it for Best Picture, but it would have been #2 or 3 on my list, at least. Though the Pixar film I really wanted to get nomination was WALL-E last year.

Does Kristen Stewart always have that sour look on her face? After the John Hughes tribute, she looked like she wanted to bite people's heads off!

Liking Baldwin and Steve Martin!

No surprise with Christoph Waltz winning, was there? He was the best thing about Inglorious Basterds.

Carey Mulligan looks way better with long hair, in my opinion.

Her and Saldana trying to negotiate the stairs with those heels and trains, heh.

Ah, the short film category: don't care.

Is that who it was. Kinder missed the announcement of who it was. Need to watch some of his films again.

And SLJ appears. :D

The badassery quotient tripled the moment he entered the room. :D

Only a bad man can wear a beret at the Oscars and not get snickers.

I wanted to see what his wallet had written on it. :D

Aw, man. UP was such a fun movie.

Fun and moving.

Oh yes. Loved the whole movie. Surprised I don't own it yet.

Definitely! Up is wonderful, but Wall-E still holds the number one spot as best film by Pixar, IMO of course.

That clip from Logorama piqued my interest somewhat -- it looks quite amusing.

I like that French guy. Of course, a lot of the best acceptance speeches come from the non-stars for whom this really is a once-in-a-lifetime thing.
