Hughes is certainly worthy of a special tribute. His movies ring true for all generations.
John Hughes: Defined a decade, damn near two.
Great, great film-maker and a tragic loss. This is a great tribute to him.
I grew up on his movies.
My God these people all look so damn young, how old have I become?
A real shame about Hughes -- his movies helped to define 80s cinema. This is a very sweet tribute.
Fantastic tribute to a fantastic director.
I'm disappointed that "Almost There" from Princess and the Frog didn't win (I still have that song stuck in my head months after seeing the film), or at least the other song from that movie. The other songs in the category seemed odd.
AAAHH, and now they all look old! How old have I become....
God, Macaulay Culkin is creepy.
Culkin looks stoned out of his mind.
I did the same thing.
Holy Cow, first Molly Ringwald and now McCauly Culkin? Hughes really was special if he can bring them both out of hiding.
Fact Check: Best Animated Feature didn't exist in 1991. Samuel L. Jackson wuz wrong!
SLJ just did a line of dialogue without droppng an F-Bomb. I don't know who he is anymore.
Aw, man. UP was such a fun movie.
Is that who it was. Kinder missed the announcement of who it was. Need to watch some of his films again.
And SLJ appears.
The badassery quotient tripled the moment he entered the room.
Yeah, Up was just wonderful. If I had my way, it would win best picture, even though I know that won't happen.
Culkin was apparently hit very hard by his death. Huges apparently mentored him during the film, and continued to do so in the years that followed.
I cried in the first ten minutes. I don't know how they did it, but they did it, and I did.
