Teen Wolf Season 5

It'll be interesting to see if being scratched by the Doctors' shapeshifters effects a normal person (if she was normal) the same way a regular shapeshifter does.

Glad to hear it. I haven't seen any new news. Anybody know when the panel is?

I think it happened early today.

Fans asked if Derek would ever be returning and Jeff Davis said that it was entirely up to Tyler Hoechlin.

They also talked about an upcoming schism between Scott and Stiles over their sketchy old friend that returned in the premiere.

So the hybrid creatures created by the Doctors are chimeras (I figured as much). And because they're human science experiments, supernatural rules don't apply to them, as Dr. Deaton alluded.

The LGBT rave scene was ... something. I'd never seen so many shirtless fit guys in a single episode. The Doctors always show up at the last minute to kill their creations.

So Theo is evil after all, Stiles was right.
I was wrong about what The Doctors are doing, I thought they were just screwing around with supernaturals.
I love Kira's beltsword.
I'm surprised we've been seeing so much of Deacon, I figured with is role on The Walking Dead he's be in very little, if any, Teen Wolf this season.
That was some crazy stuff with Parish. I wonder if he was aware of what he was doing, because he almost looked like he was in some kind of trance or something.

My money is still on Parrish being a phoenix . ...

I've heard that one in a couple places, and it would definitely work. The other possibility I came up with that I mentioned earlier is an Ifrit.

Just caught up after not being able to watch the first three eps until yesterday, and then the one that aired. So far I think this season is ok, the bad guys definitely creep me out, I do miss Derek though....(and Issac...). I look forward to seeing where they take the characters and how we end up with Lydia at Eichen House.

It is me, or does the plot this season seem...lacking?

And the whole thing is dark far too much! Can't see squat half the time!

It's been a bit slower and smaller scale, but I've been enjoying it.

It's certainly a different take on "the villain of the season."

What I've stopped watching is SyFy's Defiance. It's as if they fired a whole bunch of writers from last season judging from the new direction the show has gone (time gap/fast forwatd, killing off a bunch of characters, darker and more violent themes).

At least we can count on Teen Wolf to be consistent when it comes to characters and thematic elements.

I liked the old tattered paperback of the Dread Doctors. The prop department did a nice job making it look "vintage" with its lurid cover illustration. Interested to see what comes of that clue.

Maybe the author's name is an homage to Robert McCammon?

I've been wondering if Dr. Valak, the guy with the third eye in his forehead (aka Dr. Third Eye), is one of The Doctors. I keeps popping up, including in the flashforward at the beginnig of the season, and I doubt he'd keep popping up like that if he wasn't going to be important somewhere along the line.

I'm losing track of this storyline. Someone give me a this-season episode synopsis?

Styles' dad is still the best-looking on the cast to me.

Okay, I'll take a stab at this. In order of screen time:

1) The Dread Doctors are creating artificial chimeras in hopes of achieving .. . what?

2) Scott's shady old buddy from fourth grade is mixed up with the Doctors somehow, although the details are unclear. And nobody seems to realize he's bad news except Stiles.

3) Scott's girlfriend is apparently going Dark Phoenix on us. (Dark Kitsune?)

4) Something weird is going on with Deputy Parrish.

4) They keep mentioning Malia's mysterious mother, "The Desert Fox," so presumably she's going to show up at some point.

5) And, thanks to a flash-forward in the season premiere, we know that Lydia ends up in Eichen House at some point in the future--after bad stuff happens to her friends.

And that's where we stand. Hope this helps!

Props to the art department, btw. "The Dread Doctors" really looks like an actual paperback horror novel from the 1970s or so.

And I loved that our gang "solved" the mystery by reading the Acknowledgments! :)
