Thanks. And in all fairness I did have a near crisis when I got this done a few months ago. Let's just say im glad the Asian artist did the tattoo, and not the Russian. Cause that was liable to be...awkward.

^ Yeah, i'm sure he was nice and everything..it just would have been awkward for us both really. Id also like to point out that this particular tattoo was done post-bar trip so that may have helped instill a little bit of fear in me

What if you had a tribal tatt version of the Enterprise. What would it look like. I feel like this is an inspired idea. It has Trek, simplicity, humour (taking the piss out of tribal tatts )..this might be the one!!!
The first one is great! This would be really good if you wanted an arm band style.

Really though, and truly, my original idea of a tribal style Enterprise tatt is excellent. It won't be a tribal tatt because it's the Enterprise but it will be all silhouetty and abstract. It will be an Enterprise symbol rather than an actual space ship (which looks awful much of the time when turned into a tatt).
Yeah, I can see that. Doing a black, silhouetted, and stylized Enterprise would look really good, I'd just veer away from making it too tribal -- I'd worry you'd end up with something more tribal than Trek.
The nacelles will be batleths, they are very tribal tattish.

My 2nd tattoo would probably be tied to my elder son, as my 1st is for my younger son.
I would probably move on to a trek related one after that. I don't know, I feel like I'm still planning the 2nd one! Baby steps!
