I was invited by friends to spend next Sunday in their home.
Got to go up to a Pokestop today and walk my (in game) egg as well, along with getting a gift in Pokemon Go. The weather wasn't too bad .
Got to have a very nice dinner with Mom today.
First, I was able to unbury my car and drive it for the first time since November yesterday. I LOVE my car!!!
Second, with a little backstory, on Tuesday when I supervised my mom's new couch delivery, her left leg was bothering her more than it ever had. I spent most of Thursday with her at the emergency room. They finally did an MRI at about 9 PM. The results showed no signs of growth of her tumor. When she called her doctor the next day, she found out that she should have been treating her backside with ice, but had been using heat. Ice made all the difference! She was feeling good yesterday.
I still ran errands for her but had to call her several times from the grocery store to make sure I was getting the right stuff.
Woooo DAYLIGHT SAVINGS!
The day when there's meaningful daylight after work hours for the next eight months!
Yes. I have two male mini poodle puppies. One is 15 months old, the other is 9 months. Both are from the same parents, different litters. Last December my daughter came to stay for the weekend with the grand kids and she left a bottle of Advil on the table in the living room. It fell on the floor and she never picked it up. Puppies got into it and chewed it up. Came home from work and both were vomiting all over and sicker than shit. Had to rush them to the emergency vet as Ibuprofen is extremely toxic to dogs. Vet wasn't sure they were going to make it. Both spent a week in the hospital and came through it fine. But the vet told me I had to have biweekly regular blood, liver and kidney value checks to ensure there wasn't any long term damage. Both went in this morning and for their 3 month (and last) blood draw and enzyme values check. Both had been given a clean bill of health and there is no long term damage. So that's my something good for the year!
I had steak for dinner. The wife went out to a charity gin thing. The kids went to bed without much fuss. I caught up on some telly, watched a thing about model trains, Life Below Zero and Star Trek 5. Had a bottle of wine, and found a few episodes of The Young Ones.
I’m glad your mother is doing better! And yeah for your car!
I’m glad the fur babies are better!
I got to spend the day with the parents, the brothers and their families at a sporting event for a niece. It’s always wonderful to get together and this was kind of spontaneous -her gymnastics team made it to state finals and we found out about it a week ago. We all had a wonderful time together.
I found some drone videos on YouTube of my old village. Was interesting to see the old stomping grounds. Including my old schools and the streets and fields I used to play. So much and so little has changed.
ST 5 must have been the low point of your day!
When Sybok says: "I can feel your pain." I think he's talking to the audience.
It was still light out when I left work today!
Just found my old blue Nintendo DS! Turned out I had it in my 3ds XL box. It was right under my nose.
Someone (I know) ordered a cake and had it delivered to my home.
It was finally nice enough to take my dog for a long walk, and her tail never stopped wagging!
I was given hope today that a lifelong goal may be within reach. I may still have the rug pulled out from under me, but I'm going to focus on the hope part right now.
My garden looks nicer and nicer!
Despite the headache, I managed to do a little bit of writing on my 6th Doctor fanfic.
Got some yard work done.
