First, I was able to unbury my car and drive it for the first time since November yesterday. I LOVE my car!!!
Second, with a little backstory, on Tuesday when I supervised my mom's new couch delivery, her left leg was bothering her more than it ever had. I spent most of Thursday with her at the emergency room. They finally did an MRI at about 9 PM. The results showed no signs of growth of her tumor. When she called her doctor the next day, she found out that she should have been treating her backside with ice, but had been using heat. Ice made all the difference! She was feeling good yesterday.
I still ran errands for her but had to call her several times from the grocery store to make sure I was getting the right stuff.
Yes. I have two male mini poodle puppies. One is 15 months old, the other is 9 months. Both are from the same parents, different litters. Last December my daughter came to stay for the weekend with the grand kids and she left a bottle of Advil on the table in the living room. It fell on the floor and she never picked it up. Puppies got into it and chewed it up. Came home from work and both were vomiting all over and sicker than shit. Had to rush them to the emergency vet as Ibuprofen is extremely toxic to dogs. Vet wasn't sure they were going to make it. Both spent a week in the hospital and came through it fine. But the vet told me I had to have biweekly regular blood, liver and kidney value checks to ensure there wasn't any long term damage. Both went in this morning and for their 3 month (and last) blood draw and enzyme values check. Both had been given a clean bill of health and there is no long term damage. So that's my something good for the year!
I had steak for dinner. The wife went out to a charity gin thing. The kids went to bed without much fuss. I caught up on some telly, watched a thing about model trains, Life Below Zero and Star Trek 5. Had a bottle of wine, and found a few episodes of The Young Ones.
ST 5 must have been the low point of your day!![]()
