Spoilers Supernatural season 14

Lucifer telekinetically snapped Bobby's neck back in Swan Song and Castiel brought him back to life.

But Bobby wasn't singed from the inside out, like we saw with these hunters, or Kevin when Gadreel killed him. THAT kind of kill and damage might not be reverseable, which was the kind of death I was referrig to. Apologies for not being clearer in the first place.

New episode tonight.

I liked this episode despite a kinda lame Monster of the Week. I'm glad they used the annoying teenagers again, so there was a reason they spent so much time on them earlier. I liked seeing Jack on his own-- the outcome was pretty predictable but I still really felt for him.

Next week's episode looks pretty good--- but I wish they'd quit giving away major points in the ads.

I liked the monster. I got a Xenomorph vibe from it. It head also reminded me of Urizen’s from DMC5.

I am very sad, but I am not complaining. 15 years is an extraordinary run. The longest running genre show in the U.S.

And that title will stay that way for a LONG time with 327 episodes along 15 seasons... which is nearly as much as the entire STARGATE tv franchise. (SG1, SGA, SGU have a total of 354 episodes.)

It's impressive as hell too, given that 80% of the time it was just Ackles and Padalecki by themselves doing constant night shoots, stunt sequences and effects shots for 22-episode long seasons. Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz were burnt out by that work schedule after just six and a half and seven and a half seasons respectively.

And Gellar and Boreanaz had deep main casts and recurring casts who could shoulder the burden so Buffy and Angel weren't in every single scene. Ackles and Padalecki didn't have that. I'm impressed that they both stuck with it for fifteen years. That's an ass load of night shoots.

I didn't expect Jensen or Jared to stay the entire 15 years.

Usually someone halfway in a shows run decides to leave like a Star Trek series or Michael Shanks in Stargate SG-1

I think I stopped watching around season 5 or 6 due to other shows and just tuning out

Even more impressive... seasons 7-13 were 23 episode seasons, so even longer than most other shows.

Those guys are real troopers.

I love Supernatural with all my heart, but 15 years is a good place to stop. They can wrap things up and say goodbye in the way they want.

Nooooooooo!

Is my first reaction.

But, upon further refection and taking everything into consideration....

Nooooooooooooo!!

Yeah, it was (and will continue for a little while to be) a good run. I can't complain. But I really wanted Supernatural to be the Gunsmoke of genre TV. And I guess, in a sense, it is, by today's standards-- it's unlikely anything will ever beat it. Except Doctor Who.

But, man, 15 years. That's more than 25% of my life. I'll miss these boys.

Fifteen seasons is probably a good stopping point. Hopefully the writers give everybody a great send-off.

Of course, I'll miss the internet reaction we saw every time the show got renewed.

Too bad they're not doing 23 episodes because the series finale will be episode 327. 330 sounds much better than 327. I just like when things end with either 0 or 5. I know...I'm weird.

I kind of figured they were going to after the recent talk of how much longer could it go on and the speculation being after 300 episodes. 327 is more than a season past that goal.

I'll miss it a lot but I can't blame the actors for wanting to hang it up after 15 seasons. Luckily, if Season 14 is anything to go by, it will go out on top. At least we have over 300 episodes to rewatch for the rest of eternity. Still sad it's ending though:wah:
