Spoilers Supernatural Season 13

Maybe in that universe, God was killed by Amara. Or maybe the roles were reversed, and it is Amara who created everything with God being killed or trapped by the Mark of Cain.

Maybe Jack will end up taking God's place in that universe. He is supposed to end up being more powerful than Lucifer, and there are very few things more powerful than an archangel.

I want to see Death appear again... maybe he still exists in the alternate universe.

I would like to see Death again, too. Julian Richings was so damn good in that part; it would be a shame to not see him at least one more time.

There needs to be consequences for killing Death and Billie the Reaper-- although I'd rather see both return.

I've been theorizing about what's going on in the alternate universe. Michael could have destroyed Lucifer, but he says he needs him. Why? There must be someone very powerful who Michael is trying to defeat, but can't. Who could that be but Alternate Jack? So perhaps Jack's ultimate fate will be to defeat his evil twin in an act of mutual destruction.

Another thought is that the enemy in the alternate universe is Alternate Castiel-- but I really don't want Castiel to return that way.

Maybe the creation of the alternate universe IS, indirectly, the consequence of the boys going back on that deal they made with Billie last year.

I like the idea that Jack ends up destroying alternate Jack... like a matter/antimatter explosion of two identicals. That would help explain why in the alternate universe we have not seen alternate versions of living people in this one. I wonder if we'll see alternate Benny... that is another one I would like to see again.

One theory is that the point of divergence is Mary not making a deal with Yellow Eyes to save John, IIRC Bobby said that John had been dead for over 40 years.

Which would def cause the boys to never be born.

John became a hunter only after Mary was killed. If she never made the deal, he wouldn't have lived long enough to become a hunter.

How would Bobby know about John at that point?

Lazarus? Is that you?? ;)

So the people that Amara ate last year still don't have their souls back? So are they in heaven? Or nonexistance? What happens when they die?

Why does a yellow eyed demons vessel have a scar? I thought vessels regenerated.

I wonder if Gabriel is still on the other side?

These new hellspawn creatures..... so dangerous they have to be locked away..... feels a bit close to Leviathans.

I just had a thought...

Chuck imprisoned the Shedim in the depths of Hell, right? What else does that sound like--the Cage, right? We know now that Jack can open a gateway into a place sealed by God...so what if Jack will be the thing that opens the Cage to let "our" Michael out? Wouldn't it be cool if the season finale was a showdown between the two versions of Michael?

According to Chuck, there was very little of "our" Michael left, so he wouldn't be able to do much of anything.

They already established that being used as a "meat suit" for an archangel would leave the host a mindless, drooling shell. I think they mentioned that when they first introduced Raphael. However, Chuck could restore the person---or at least, one would assume so.

I wonder if Jake Abel is simply too busy, off making movies and can't fit Supernatural into his schedule?

They have never wanted to use Adam for anything. They have made some jokes that imply that it will never get resolved. The showrunners want to forget Adam ever existed.

(In a canon / continuity issue, Adam is actually the reason that I think that the future shown in season 5 was not really a future, but just an angel construct like tv-land made to try to trick Dean into saying yes. There is no way that future would happen, since we already know about the Adam back up plan.)

They've done time travel. Heaven, Purgatory, and hell are essentially other dimensions, particularly since time works different in hell. Zombies and revenants are reanimated dead, a scifi concept of coming back to life. Demon and angel possession is exactly like body snatching, like the hundreds of stories and episodes of aliens taking over bodies. Sam and the special children having all those abilities is like the many metahuman stories out there. Same with the pagan gods having all those powers.

Science fiction concepts have been used in horror for decades, as far back as Frankenstein. I would argue scifi has a place in this series, too. Science fiction and horror are closer relatives than you think.

Yeah, seems pretty par for the course. Dean's been sent to an alternate future, Sam and Dean have been sent into the past, their grandfather was sent from the past to their present, Dean was trapped in another dimension by a monster and saw a glimpse of past-Bobby there. So, really--same old, same old.

Just to clarify, Samuel Campbell was brought down from heaven in season 6, not time traveled from the past.
