Supernatural, season 11 *SPOILERS!*

It seems like the plot is leading up to God showing up in some way. Hopefully He won't just snap his fingers and end Amara off easily

I thought that Rowena was going to stay dead. Her spell was a real cheat and cheap way to bring her back. Though I grew to like her I felt they she had run her course. I'm not sure why they even brought her back.

God doesn't work that way on the show. Even when he's onscreen, he's just an observer or acting the fool in order to help others indirectly. I don't see any reason why that's going to change in this particular storyline.

^ That would be awesome.

I'm kind of torn about how I want the ultimate end of Supernatural to go down. Part of me wants Sam to get possessed by Lucifer again and have it end in the Apocalypse, with Sam in the white suit, meeting Dean that last time. Only, maybe this time, Dean wins.

Or...maybe this whole thing has been about clearing out heaven of the corrupt and flawed angels...and God promotes regular souls to take over their....like Bobby, Rufus, Charlie and Kevin. So, Sam and Dean finally do die, but become proper arch-angels and continue to fight the good fight. Yeah, I know, I have waaaay too much free time. ;)

^ I do like the idea of dead hunters becoming the new angels - and being kind of annoyed at the news.

Bobby: "Oh, balls. You know, I did plan to have retired by now."

Charlie: "Do I get a flaming sword? That would be cool."

Rufus: "Okay, but I can't be an angel on the Sabbath."

Kevin: "Mommy!"

That really would be great. :) Would make all those sacrifices a good number of hunters have made over the centuries totally worth it. They'd probably have to devote an entire season to showing why God would make that choice though, as way too many of them have also just been colossal redneck dicks... and that's the type of attitude I'd imagine God would be trying to get rid of, not reinforce.

But Sam and Dean being the new archangels is a great idea, along with Castiel (hey, even the Winchesters have been defeatists who've made poor decisions for what they thought was the greater good).

I wonder if they will go the route of Castiel having to be the one to use a hand of god against Amara. Or perhaps some combination of Castiel and Crowley (an angel and a demon choosing God over Amarra).

The problem kind of is though, that much like shoving Lucy back in the cage, Amara has to go back to her sacrificial non-existance plain. Which means creating a new Mark embued with the essence of darkness that someone has to volunteer to be branded with forever.

Well, with news of a new character being introduced, and neither Dean, Sam, or Castiel being viable receptacles (and very unlikely anyone would trust Lucy or Crowley with it), I'm guessing it's going to end up being her. That, or some new kind of prison is going to be created.

Or, it could always be the French Lady of Letters after she makes her reappearance, presuming she used the Hand of God to travel to the future or something. A stretch, but that's really the only other possibility I see unless they pull something else out of their arses.

A new character would create a better ongoing arc if they've already thought about this is going to continue into season 12.

^ Well, whatever her purpose, I'll just be happy if they can stick with the main storyline for the episodes remaining after "Chitters." Seriously, going on hiatus and then coming back with another filler episode...after the one we just got...it's ridiculous. Hoping there are fewer filler episodes next year and that they schedule them a little better.

Oh pleasepleaseplease make this happen faster. I can not wait!

I would like him to say "I'm not God, I just play him on TV."

Thus referencing The French Mistake.

I really love this show. :)

However, I don't understand why the article makes it sound like it's an either-or proposition. I mean, just look to Catholicism to see God as three different individuals all at once. That said, they've already given all the proof they need on the show. I mean, they're all but come out and said it point blank at this stage. Especially if you consider the in-show rules for prophets.

Was re-watching "Hell's Angel," and it just penetrated that the area where Casifer is talking (bullying?) the other angels is a re-use of the set for Naomi's office, all the way back from season 8. Mildly surprised to discover they kept that lying around. Good re-use though.
