Supernatural is fantastic!

I've never been one to enjoy slasher films, or gorefests.

Nothing against them, just never GOT them.

Supernatural is one of my favorite series though for its incorporation of folklore, mythology, legend, & wit.

One of my favorite series to read is The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher, and I've always considered Supernatural about as close to Dresden as we've seen on TV thus far. (and that includes the Syfy Series based on but not much resembling the Dresden books)

If you've ever seen the film Constantine w/ Keanu Reeves, you get an idea of how the real world can co-exist right alongside the weirdness and most people never know of it, rationalize it away, or just plain can't accept what they've seen.

Supernatural, is definitely a show for fans of Buffy & Angel, but again, with a darker twist than either.

I only caught the occasional episode but started watching regularly with Season Four. I definitely liked 4 and 5, and 6 so far is alright given they totally blew their load with the story in 5.

Even though it is getting a little long in the tooth, I think that Supernatural is one of the best shows on television right now. The only show that beats it in my mind is The Walking Dead.

A good show. I've already rewatched the whole thing on TNT. I really liked "Mystery Spot" and "Yellow Fever."

what's an episode i might like?

Mystery Spot.

Just having, in the past 6 months, jumped on the "Impala" so to speak,.....
I too started watching from season four and THANK YOU TNT!...now I am totally caught up with the show although there are just a couple I haven't seen. I like it all.

I do agree that "Mystery Spot" was good (and NEVER will I be able to listen to "Heat of the Moment" in the same way again! :guffaw:). I find that I liked "in the Beginning..." slightly more. From the Back to the Futuresque diner scene to Mitch Pellegi's scenes. That also leads up to my fave Dean quote "Whhoooaaa! Last time you zapped me anywhere I didn't POOP for a week! We're drivin!"
:guffaw::guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

Oh, Dean and Castiel are priceless when they're together. Fantastic chemistry between Ackles and Collins. I'm glad the writers finally went there and had Castiel state flat out that "Dean and I do share a more profound bound" as opposed to Sam and Castiel. It's how the story evolved. Dean and Cas are friends. Sam and Cas are acquaintances.

Of course nothing beats Dean and Sam but it's nice to mix and match once in a while.

I still have trouble with the Dean and Castiel being friends. I don't see how that can actually be. I can certainly understand comrades in arms though (and in some ways that can create bonds stronger then typical friends).

Think of it this way.

Their relationship is probably the closest thing Dean could have to being a friend with out that other person being family.

He's really a very lonely guy.

Well I like to think of it in another way, Bobby both friend and family, yet if Bobby did the things Castiel did, I honestly think Bobby wouldn't be a part of Dean's life, except as a resource of information.

There are things Sam can do that he gets a pass for (and even some of them have been enough to push him out of Dean's life), yet Castiel some how gets a pass.....

Cass did pull Dean out of Hell. I would think that earns you a lot of leeway.

Love the show...there's been some episodes I didn't like all that much but I can't think of one I've loathed. Nearly very show I like has at least one episode that I just out and out hate but I can't think of a Supernatural one.

And that, folks, is the understatement of the millennium...
