Seems awfully fast.

Seems perfect timing to me! I just want to give James Gunn a big hug! He is handling this perfectly. Never said it I not really a fan of most of his work. Some it’s ok. His humor is not mine. I have no interest in Peacemaker. So I was very skeptical on him writing and directing Superman. But he impressed a lot. Having Supergirl next summer perfect. Than an actual Superman sequel next year - brilliant.

Assuming no further delays, 2027 will see the releases of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, Man of Tomorrow, and The Batman Part II--arguably the Big Three of superhero comics--plus Avengers: Secret Wars and possibly one unannounced film each from DC and Marvel. A good year for superhero fans.

My guess is that Brainiac comes to earth because Superman is the last of his kind. The most sought after trophy in the universe.

Superman has no choice but to seek Lex Luthor's help and team up with him to take down Brainiac.

Cue some sequence where a pop song plays while Lex and Superman take down Brainiac's drones

"HeartBreaker by Pat Benatar

Also there will be a scene with a bunch of extra's in alien prosthetics because it's Gunn's schtick. Possibly in Brainiac's trophy room

Wow. You’d almost think that they were human or something. Definitely worse than some of the worst Snyderverse folks who threatened violence over this nonsense.

No, they were triggered--by their own hatred, hence the innumerable posts that could not simply discuss the film they claimed a desire to see, but it all had to turn into yet another fist-shaking whine-a-thon about Snyder and Man of Steel, with desperate, daily posts hoping the film would surpass Man of Steel, instead of...you know...just be a satisfactory Superman movie. It was all about their bed-wetting over Snyder/MoS. Deny it all you like, but its on this board, and on other platforms.
