In case anyone is interested - James Gunn was interviewed on NPR Morning Edition, where he talked about Superman, directing, screenwriting and the some of choices he made in Superman.
I disagree. People tend to tire of things eventually, or else we’d still be watching wall-to-wall Westerns.
It was a bit of ramble.I'm never sure what's intended to be accomplished by delivering a blow-by-blow synopsis of a movie as part of this kind of review. I mean, he throws occasional asides like "this was cool," into the middle of the recounting, but most of it is just like a kid on the playground describing a TV show he watched last night.
I think Gunn is just bringing over stuff that he has worked on. He also mentioned the Jaime Reyes would be part of this new universe before that movie flopped. My assumption is that John Cena and The Rock are friends.
With the friends and family discount, Teth-Adam might make an appearance in Peacemaker eventually, unless he burnt all the bridges when he tried to take over the DCEU?
The longer the video, the more money it makes. It was a bit of ramble.
By having more ads, you mean? The longer the video, the more money it makes.
Very true. I know that by the time of Endgame I was ready for a break from Super Hero movies.I disagree. People tend to tire of things eventually, or else we’d still be watching wall-to-wall Westerns.
If you know Kevin Smith, you know that's not the reason. He is just the kind of person who can't shut up or get straight to the point. The longer the video, the more money it makes.
And very often about shit and whatnot. The majority of Kevin Smith's career is just him talking for a long time and I say this as a fan of him talking for a long time.
I didn't think it was bad either. I actually enjoyed it far more than Civil War. But I usually go against the grain of popular taste so......I don't think Brave New World was bad.
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.I reread them recently. If you're interested, I'd read the entire Warren Ellis Stormwatch run that leads directly into the creation of The Authority. Then, read the Ellis and Millar Authority runs. The idea is basically showing superheroes going over the line and actually trying to change the world and being celebrities, and killing badguys. It is incredibly violent, funny, and has wide scale action.
That and The Suicide Squad probably had at least a little to do with it too.I figured it's because Peacemaker was successful. It's nothing more complex than that there's no need to throw a success overboard.
In this IGN article they do have some quotes from Gunn talking a bit about this Kara's backstory. As for Kara, we literally just meet her at the end of the movie. Nothing is mentioned about her prior to that so we have no clue about her backstory.
