^ Unfortunately, no -- once a year is about as frequent as they're likely to get for the time being. And just to save Marco or someone else the trouble of pointing this out, a series that has a new book every year is fairly rare in SF and fantasy. Fans of original literary SF&F series often wait a few years between installments but manage to keep up. So cheer up -- it could be worse...![]()

I have to say that I enjoyed Vanguar more than I enjoyed Summon the Thunder
One thing troubled me, and I can't find it in my copy of Vanguard, but there was something about Zett that seemed to have changed - (it's been a bit since I read the novel) - and I think it was his teeth, I believe they were white here when they'd previously been black?
Think that's hard? Try writing it between the Fourth of July and Halloween.Reiko said:
This so far is a great series. It's going to be hard to wait another year for the third book.

Not to be snotty or anything, but you could just do what I do and reread the book(s) leading up to the new one.
That's not hard. Writing it between Fourth of July and Bastille Day -- that's hard....Think that's hard? Try writing it between the Fourth of July and Halloween. This so far is a great series. It's going to be hard to wait another year for the third book.![]()

Haven't yet. Still working on it. I'm about 87,000 words in, and I have only 54 days left to work through another 47 plot points...without a doubt, this will be the longest book I have written to date.Ronald Held said:
How did you write it so quickly?
Try writing anything while holding down a full-time job that routinely involves 10- and 12-hour workdays, plus a two-hour round-trip commute. If I didn't have this silly ol' full-time job, I might have finished the frakkin' thing by now... of course, I would also have no money, no insurance, and no way to support my wife through grad school, so there would be other stressors in play.Keith R.A.
