Stuff that make you wonder but not own thread worthy

So they resurrect her and she’s still her, but they change her loyalties?
Yeah something like that. I haven't mapped it out but I was trying to think of ways to have the TNG crew have a bigger emotional reaction and attachment to Sela, rather than how Picard brushes it away with one line.

Armus brings her back evil to amuse himself. Somehow she hooks up with the Romulans and/or a Klingon faction and gains a position of influence but really she just wants to start a war for the lulz.

They were genetically created essentially from scratch, not genetically enhanced/augmented.

Thin distinction, yes, but it's there.
Indeed, a key point. I read that as the researchers excuse to herself. Self deceptions are a problem for a lot of folks in sketchy jobs... enterprise era Dr Soong about his augments as well. adds an element of realism for me to think of it that way.

Why did this guy get a 'proper' uniform befitting a senior member of the staff? I noticed in various episodes.

How come when the Enterprise visits a far flung federation member world there is zero other UFP presence there?
No embassies,consulates,trade missions,tourists..nothing.

They're far-flung which means few tourists, and the Enterprise is the de-facto flying consulate.

The local administrators are basically left to themselves. Like, er, Governor Kodos.

Was Kodos’ world(not looking it up now) a federation member or an Earth colony? Is there a difference?
But a world joins up and then..nothing?Irregular starship visits and that’s it?
No commerce or anthropological / cultural/ scientific research teams, just “you’re in”.
No intergalactic backpackers,no AndorianChicken hut franchises?

Kirk grew up on a colony.

How many Federation member worlds or capital cities have we actually seen?

We've barely explored any of them on screen, so not having seen an embassy doesn't mean they don't exist. We've not seen a Bolian hospital or a Tellarite school, but we can infer they must exist.

I would hazard a guess that he's Jonathan Frakes' stand-in? Looks a similar height and build. Needs a beard though!
I thought likely some stand in too. I just searched for Jonathan's stand in. It's not him. However you solved another question for me. There was a still shot in the extras of a man I wondered who he is and couldn't find an answer - and the riker stand in!

Edit: no you were right. He did later seasons. The other guy was earlier seasons. You answered two questions in one!

Ah great, good guess!
