Hey, I'm just glad that those last six episodes are seeing the light of day at all. Likewise with SFA's final season.
There are some real-world things that need to sort themselves out after all that before (or if) the question of Trek's next chapter will be really worth revisiting.

Why? There's another six months on the calendar in 2027 where it can run.
Why would they do that when Academy and SNW both ran their penultimate seasons this year and we've had multiple shows running each year for some time now?
All four seasons of SNW have been spring/summer releases, there's no reason to expect otherwise with the final season. Maybe the premiere might be a bit later than June or July because this season is shorter, but it will most certainly still air in 2027.

Yep, this isn't 1993-1999 anymore. Streaming's a different beast from network broadcasting and syndicated programming.
I know Skydance will never publish the numbers, but I'd be curious to see how sharply Paramount+ subscriptions drop once the last of the SNW episodes air and there's no more new Trek on the horizon.
