It says the video was posted 7 hours ago which equals to past midnight for me, which is also when I saw the tweet and followed the link to watch it.
The Horizon news and following discussion I read yesterday in the early morning already.
So even if the video was filmed before, they surely wouldn't have posted it if there was any trouble?

I was referring to when it was uploaded to Vimeo, but yes, they did go ahead with it on social media after the Horizon story.
Think the donation rate has picked up slightly today.

The "Webby's" have concluded and the winners will be announced on Tues. Last time I checked, STC had a pretty good lead, about 47% and 2nd place was around 28%. I think they recalculate, get rid of clones and multiple votes, but hopefully STC maintains the lead and wins their category. It would be a nice boost in recognition.
Probably a combination of nearing the end and Vic taking the Axabull by the horns.
I totally agree with this and whilst I have nothing but his online persona to go on I'd be prepared to believe Alec Peters would be very pleased to see STC and the rest go down, irrespective of whatever wanky PR they publish after the fact.
It's significant that practically his first response to the lawsuit was to duck behind other fan films like human shields by saying "They infringe more!"
Yes, lets not forget some of the most vicious attcks on STC have been from his ilk.

When all is said and done they'll be able to afford one episode and perhaps start another. Is Ep. 7 (to be released in September) paid for? Presently that goal of a 13 episode run seems rather iffy. Then again if this Axanar crap could be resolved reasonably quick and if no other productions are halted then maybe the air will clear and fan trepidation will fade away.
I've has my qubbles with STC, but overall I'm really quite pleased with their efforts. I really want to see them complete their 13 episode run.
I'm also curious as to what Vic and company might do after STC has run its course.

Ep 7 was shot on Kirkstarter funds, but Indiegogo is paying for the post-production.

It would be passing weird if a federally-approved 501(c)(3) charity were told to stop operating on grounds that the very charitable purpose for which it was created violated federal law.
