That is lovely!
That is lovely!
It's a probably a case of the designer making it one scale, then someone else higher up enlarging it. The size on that chart is the same size CBS gave Eaglemoss.
When STO was given the model, CBS didn't provide a scale, so they made it around the same size as their Avenger class. Which I'm not sure the size of, but it's smaller than that.
Hmm. Hope that doesn't mean he's not been picked up to work on one of the other shows. He's been fantastic.Dave Blass has removed everything Star Trek from his Twitter account, all the images and that. Odd.

I know Bernd isn't always appreciated here, considering the way he sometimes voices his opinions. But I thought this was a neat little article and a handy oversight of all the ships we see in the fleet in season 2 of Picard.
*EDIT* Just saw that someone already posted this. Mae culpa.
It's from the twitter account of one of the show's VFX supervisors. I posted them in the article comments, guess he decided to add that tidbit to the article. Is there a source for this? I don't remember seeing that before.
He notes this about the Inquiry-class:
What the promo images don't show is that the model was reportedly modified, replacing the "grille" with a new deflector and reshaping the bottom of the engineering hull not to be so flat any more.

You can't see hull shape changes very clearly in the episode, but you can see the deflector glows here.

If they used the STO model (which I assume because it has some of the changes), then STO's model had a deflector behind the grill already.
Don’t link wiki images they don’t work.

That would be great if they did. I miss seeing those - with all the different series out these days, one would think such books would appear more frequently.
My thoughts too. Good thing I saved it all, no need to buy this onemaybe they're making an art book
