Spoilers Starship Design in Star Trek: Picard

I hope she get's an Olympic class USS Pasteur at the end :D
It would depend on why she left starfleet, and what rank she was when she left.

Looking at screen caps of the actual Eleos and not the concept model, it doesn't appear to have any of that 'rust' in the final show model.

The whole refit/new build thing is just intentional obfuscation to hide that Matalas wanted this specific movie-era design to be a hero-ship, and had to get around that it didn't make sense with the era and that the ship he wanted it to be already had a design established for it.

It'll be interesting to learn in a couple of years what Blass, Drexler, and Krause have to say about the whole design process when they can speak more freely.

One face was from someone from Alpha Centauri I think---shades of "THIS ISLAND EARTH"...I think that an an opposable pinky was the only difference...

Now that I'd like to see as swept-back nacelle supports with aft weapons
Very strong Romulan reference there. looks amazing

Dave Blass posted more information on the Eleos on his Twitter account. Apparently the Eleos is a Phoenix-class ship, "designed as a small rapid response vessel ... the Phoenix-class was a move towards higher warp speeds in smaller designs." The warp field governor is key to such relatively high speeds in a small ship.

Tiny, and yet I'm glad to see it. I've often tossed around the Danube in my head as a good little workhorse that needed could do with some horsepower. Looks like I'm not the only one - so if you need speed and cargo, choose this. If it is dangerous to go alone, take the Danube. :)
