Yeah it was hard to really make out differences. It would have been nice to see a variety. It’s a tradition for star fleet to have other types of class ships but even more ships with different functions such as pure science or medical vessels.
This wasn't a science or medical situation. It was a combat mission. They sent combat ships.
It’s not bad - not spectacular, but not bad. I think I like the forward navigational deflector the least. It shouldn’t look like a Buick grille, but that’s just me.

I do like the side view—the secondary hull lines are quite nice.

Nice STO work, but honestly. I can see plenty of detail on my big 65" 4k at this resolution, and there is no problem accepting these as sleek, formidable, non-exploratory ships.The STO models look better than they did in the PIC finale!
Well we know there are at least 3 because I pointed them out...I will say there are probably only 3 variations though I could be wrong on THAT point. We also had the artist himself state there "definitively" were variations in black and white.

The horse is an irradiated mutant from so many nukes from orbit.. we had to be sure, but it was not enough.. The horse lives, and its only joy in life is to be beaten to death, then resurrects itself.. like a very drab phoenix!
