It was okay. There was one very easy solve for this episode, offer the Asgard a trip back to their home galaxy or give them inter-galactic hyperdrive. Now they know their brothers are all gone they could easily take over some planet in that galaxy. They would be free from the Wraith and Humanity could regain an alliance with the Asgard.

If there was going to be another season I could see the Lost Asgard stealing one of the Earth battle cruisers for the Asgard core since it has all their species knowledge include the 10,000 years they missed out on.

I was just thinking, doesn't "100,000 years of history" seem a little low for a race from the "Ancient Alliance"? It's at least millions years since the Ancients left our galaxy isn't it?

Was a little dissapointed in the episode after what was a really good 1st part. Like others have said the Asgard in this where way too weak, how can 1 traveller ship destroy 2 Asgard ships:confused:

^^ They had an incredible force multiplier. One Sheppard is equal to at least 1,234 O'Niell class Asgard warships.

Wait, what happened to Todd and his crew? They wouldn't have known to jump to hyperspace until the base was destroyed. Did the Atlantis folks just let them go?

Would it have been so bad to have the "Lost Tribe" be the Furlings? They could have even looked like the Asgard, for all I care (okay, maybe a bit furrier than an Asgardian).

It's a stretch here, but maybe because they worked with them, the Pegasus Asgards had technology that was able to circumvent Lantean tech, but could not deal with non-Lantean weapons?

I gave it an average, but it probably deserves less. There was good set up last week but little payoff this week.

The Travellers just seem to show up and the most convenient times. I was also a little creeped out by Zalenka working with a 15 year old girl. Not that I usually see Zalenka as a pedophile, but he is an older, disheveled, kinda strange looking man working that close to a teenage girl.

Jackson was just a waste in this episode, anybody could have been in that role

It was all rather deflating, especially when they used the same wormhole trick Rodney used to get the Ancient ship out of the volcano.

Hey if it works :p

First we got Pegasus Replicators...now Pegasus Asgards? What next? Pegasus Gouald? Howzabout we throw in some Pegasus Retu? And the the mother of all parent show swiping-Pegasus Ori! :scream:

PLEASE STOP IMPORTING SG1 ELEMENTS TO ATLANTIS!

Pegasus Nox: The very young do not always do what they are told.

Oh wait, the show's canceled. So this won't be a problem anymore.

Good episode. The Lost Tribe was a bit of a hoot; just what the team needs, another advanced race as an enemy. The flip side of such a noble alien race as the Asgard is pretty scary. Good thing they gave the Tauri their knowledge base. Now if only they can use it to protect themselves from possibly even more scientifically advanced Asgard.

Darn! I'd like to see that one play out beyond this season. Too bad.

Poor Ronan. "You still want to get something to eat?" Uh, yes. Uh, no. Oh shit!" Priceless look on his face. We've all been there, eh?

Dr. Jackson was great. The show has been lacking a witty moral compass. I hope he returns.

The Asgard mentioned that of the Ancients database, they had just begun to plumb the depths in terms of understanding it. So it would seem that they were not quite on their level of technological advancement. Of course, they were one of the few races that had matter transfer.

I just thought: The team got it's hands on a pair of the Asgard exoskeleton suits without them blowing up! What do you bet that they never make use of them?! :D

Side note - I guess the obtuse reference to Firefly was kind of amusing. They have the chipper "do anything" girl engineer on a broken down ship engineering room and they go out of their way to show that the "real" Kaylee doesn't have much engineering skill.

All we needed was Adam Baldwins character to return and we've got a "stargate:firefly" series :)

I haven't seen the episode but I hope the engineer talked with bad grammar

"It don't work no more capt'n"

Keller- who talks like that?
;)

I think if the two characters met, there would have been a crack in the science fiction space time continuum. :p

Yeah, but they were also part of the alliance, before the Ancients left our galaxy, and the ancients left millions of years ago, so how can they possibly be only 100,000 years old?

Well we don't know if all of the Ancients left the Milkey Way when Atlantis did so the ones that remained could've been the ones that started the allience with the other races.

They're said on the show that the ancients who stayed either died of the plague, or ascended.

Another thought. How advanced could these Asgard be if a Travelers ship destroyed two of theirs? Or were those ancient Ancient ships? They looked like overgrown jumpers to me. What do you think?

Nope, the Traveler Captain said they'd lost the Ancient ship when the stargate exploded.

These Asgard spent most of their time researching and developing technology for their enviro suits and for sorting out their deteriorating DNA.
It seems to me they didn't have time to develop their technology in other areas the same way as the other Asgard did and this is just small band of Asgard as opposed to an entire Asgard civilisation. So logic would dictate that their ship technology is likely nothing more than back engineered Ancient jumper technology and their weapons are likely on par with the Goa'uld or wraith.

This very small band of Asgard have been disconnected from the rest of the universe and are for lack of a better term, 'behind the times'.

But they only left Atlantis 10,000 years ago and there's more than one city ship out there so I don't think they all left our galaxy at the same time.

I voted *good*...

Not as good as the first part, mainly for two reasons:
- I do not care much for the Aasgard
- Once they were revealed, they were defeated or chased away WAY TOO EASY.

But still some good stuff in there. And I'd very much rather have the new 'traveller' chick back than Larryn. (sp?)

I wonder if the temporary stargate network disturbance will have much of an effect. Quite a lot of stargates should have been knocked out. I will be *very* disappointed if we don't hear more about that in the future.
