Starfleet Academy Starship Thread

I'm also referring to ships in PIC, where they use names like Constitution III and Excelsior II. And all of the STO ships already had class names, so they didn't have to come up with them themselves. I find things like that a bit annoying. But yes, I will concede that they weren't completely unoriginal.

Yes, that's a definite possibility in this case. Still doesn't quite explain the use of TOS uniforms in the comic, but that's another story.
Again it's a comic that uses drawings. We have no visual confirmations in regards to what uniforms were used during that time period. Not really worth pearl-clutching over.

So the uniforms of the 23rd Century came back in style the 31st Century? No big whoop. I can imagine a more photorealistic art style would show some differences.

Commanding officers are shown to be given broad discretion in conducting their command, including uniform of the day.
I know. So who cares what uniforms a starfleet crew in a comic book are wearing? People were getting riled up because a fake crew in a fake comic book were wearing the wrong fake uniforms or something. It's mind-boggling. They should have had them doing the roddenberry special and be naked.

Visual consistency is a thing. It shows the creators of whatever media actually cares about their work and respects the audiences time.
Getting riled up means fans are passionate about the media.
But keep pushing away the long term fans and that's when Captan America 4 and The Marvels happens - absolute drop and complete wipeout.
SFA isn't even charting anywhere. Everyone knows why.

Yeah it was a comic book. I'll get riled up when they actually show us in live action that 31st century crews were wearing TOS uniforms. If you want to lose sleep over it, by all means do so.

The one you don't, thankfully.

Nobody cares about YooKay. And it's not like you guys have anything else to watch.

The absolute fucking state of Trek fandom nowadays.

Alright, let‘s all take it down a notch, take a deep breath, step away from the computer for a minute, and realize that this isn’t worth taking such an antagonistic tone. @StarTrek1701, let‘s not belittle or put down the other posters‘ countries of origin. I don‘t want to see it again.
WTF?? I wasn't seriously trying to insult @tenmei at all. Perhaps jest and jokes don't translate to text well, but if @tenmei thinks I insulted him I am sorry.
That being said, we need more British scifi. Last good one was Torchwood S1-S2.
Sorry if that came up that way, it wasn't meant as such.
