Star Wars: With or Without Episodes 1-3?

^ Exactly what I'm arguing. He was a "natural" Sith as opposed to being a former Jedi. My guess is that Palpatine was so obsessed with ultimate power and had some natural ability with the Force that he was not detected by the Jedi and grew up using the force to manipulate people to his advantage and then found out about the Sith. We'll see what the book reveals about his younger self.

All the Star Wars movies were great, both the original and prequel trilogies. I love them all. Despite some rough acting, the prequel trilogy still had a great story, good characters, and some fantastic action.

I still maintain that Hayden Christisan gets a lot of flak for his acting. I think if someone else other than Lucas was solely writing the script he wouldn't have been as bad as he was or written the way he was. He played a similar character to Anakin in the Canadian drama series "Higher Ground" and in "Life as a House" where he was excellent as Kevin Kline's son.

He was pretty dire in Jumper where he played a character that I just wanted to reach into the screen and punch.

He was great in "Shattered Glass".

I don't know. Maybe it was because I saw Life as a House after the prequels that he still annoyed the crap out of me in that film as well.
